5.0 out of 5 stars.  Great Shoelace Replacement!, September 22, 2009
By R. Roberts
We bought this to replace the normal shoelaces on our kids shoes. Works great! The instructions show some type of grommet that fits into each eyelet so that the laces slide more freely. Grommets are not included with this product, and you have to order them separately. The laces seem fine without the grommets.

Tough to figure out what lengths you need for kids shoes. I got 30" laces for my son's size 2 youth running shoes (6 eyelets). These work just fine. I would not want the laces to be shorter or longer.

For larger kids, probably step up one or two sizes. For smaller kids, step down similarly.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Great product!, September 18, 2008
By Dan
I love this product! I have used iBungee laces for quite some time on my running shoes and started using them on all my athletic shoes. They let me slip my shoes on without tying and untying, I can leave them loose for comfort, and tighten them up to run.

I didn't give them 5 stars because I ordered some white laces and the actual color of the white laces are gray (see my customer gallery picture). It's wasn't a shipping mistake, that is just the color of the "white" laces.

3.0 out of 5 stars.  good enough...get a size bigger, March 3, 2010
By Derek Pace (Suisun City, CA)
laces do what they're supposed to, keep your shoes tight and make shoes easy to slip on. I got these for an easy transition in my first triathlon. the first time i put the laces on my shoes the plastic piece that is on the end of the lace pulled off and is now exposed and somewhat frayed. wish the sizing guide that was on the back of the item was on the product description. i ordered a 34" for my standard asics running shoes and should have gotten a 38" because of my shoe size (13). I would just suggest getting a size longer than you think and if they're way to long just cut them and burn the ends...the plastic piece will probably fall off anyway!

I would recommend these to a friend

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Bungee, March 25, 2009
By TQ
I bought two pairs of the bungee laces for my running shoes. I have one warning for anyone planning on getting laces, make sure the bungees are long enough for your shoes. The 26-inch laces were just long enough to fit with my shoes but there was only about a centimeter of lace after the clip, making it pretty much impossible to adjust the tightness. I liked them, but because they were too small I switched back to my regular laces.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Excellent!, April 13, 2010
By J. Dueck (University Place, WA)
Two years ago I purchased both the iBungee and Lock Laces brands of elastic stretch laces in order to evaluate them in a variety of conditions from training runs to marathons. While mostly identical in performance, two features set the iBungees ahead of the Lock Laces: 1) The iBungee locks were more secure and 2) the presence of aglets (plastic tips on the ends of the laces) reduced fraying and enhanced their reusability even allowing me to remove and replace them during periodic shoe cleanings. The zero friction fittings are NOT necessary for these laces to work however; I have not evaluated their usefulness.

These laces did exactly what I expected. Namely, eliminating the need for me to stop and retie my shoes during runs and allowing me to easily don and remove my shoes. They have the added benefit of reducing hotspots caused by the natural swelling of your feet.

I recommend wearing your shoes as you lace them then loosening them a little so the laces don't start off too tight. Some minor adjustments may be necessary the first time you use them.

I highy recommend these laces and will never go back to regular laces on my running shoes.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Perfect for a son who doesn't like to tie his shoes!, November 19, 2008
By Peregrinn
For years, I bought my son shoes that closed with velcro or that had "built-in" elastic laces, since he is perfectly capable of tying a bow but TAKES FOREVER! Life is too short to spend it waiting for him. Now that he is a teen, it has been hard to find non-tying shoes in his size. These elastic laces are the perfect solution. Highly recommended!

2.0 out of 5 stars.  Don't just buy the laces, December 25, 2009
By CRNA-to-be (tennessee)
I ordered 3 pair and discovered on Christmas morning (of course) that you need to order the zero-friction fittings in addition to the laces to really make these work. That and you need the long ones...I ordered the 22 inch for my 10 year old daughter and they are too small. I'm going to try and make it work but I'm disappointed that it wasn't clearly stated that you need to order the fittings separately. Heck, in the instructions on how to use them, they ONLY say to install the fittings first.

Why is that the first step when that part doesn't even come with the laces??

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Great laces (er, not laces), November 24, 2008
By ALR (Dallas, TX)
Love these. They make my already comfy running shoes even better, and I don't have to worry about stopping to retie. Plus getting the shoes on and off is a breeze. I run about 25 miles/week, and I will not go back to regular laces!

5.0 out of 5 stars.  I love these., January 3, 2011
By Leanna Callahan
These are awesome. Turns my running shoes into easy slip on and off, plus the shoes never come untied. I found the 34 inch length to be too long for my running shoes. I am left with extra length after locking the laces.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Excellent Shoelace Replacement, November 30, 2010
By CrowTBaby
I bought these to replace some Yankz laces that had broken in several places. They are very easy to put on and adjust. Time will tell on durability, but they appear to be very sturdy.

The 38" laces for my size 11 mens' shoe were almost perfect, just a bit long, but that's what I wanted. In general, if you're in doubt go a size up. It's better to have too much than not enough. You can always trim them to fit if they are way too long.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  To Many Boot Changes, November 16, 2010
By Garden, Jay (Raleigh, NC)
I bought these shoe laces to speed up my transition from my bicycle shoes to my steel toe work boots going to an from work. Different length laces were put on each pair. The cycling shoes slide off and on. The boots slide on and then the laces are wrapped around the top two hooks on the boots. They also work well for air port security check points if you wear laced shoes.

The laces are holding up well. On the boots, I just had to tighten the elastic cord. This is done by depressing the plastic spring loaded retainer and pulling more elastic through. This took less time than tying my shoes normally. Remember when buying the laces to deduct some distance on the length of the laces, compared to normal length laces. Deduct what ever the length is from the last eyelet on your shoes to the end of your current laces. If you base your choice on the length of your current laces, without deducting this length you will have a lot of extra elastic lace on top of each shoe.

This product does exactly what I wanted it to do. Highly recommend it.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Solved a Problem, April 14, 2010
By Rocky Mountain Trekker
Following hip replacement, I was told not to bend more than 90 degrees at the hip. This precluded reaching down far enough to tie my walking shoes. I replaced the old laces with Bungee Stretch Laces and, with the aid of a long shoehorn, have been able to get them on and have adjusted the tension so they support my foot as well as, and maybe even better, than ever. Thanks to Bungee, I can recommend these as an aid to anyone who is afflicted with any kind of joint problem affecting mobility.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Alternative use, March 11, 2010
By Jo A. Seavey (Ohio USA)
We bought these laces for use on work boots. Their intended use is for running shoes. They worked wonderful on the boots. My husband is a recent arm amputee, and as you can imagine trying to tie a shoe is nearly impossible. We pre-tied the laces and set the race locks and all he has to do is lace them through the hooks on the top of the boots. The laces work great, and he can use them one handed. So anyone out there who is an amputee or knows someone who is, give these a try.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  All shoe laces should be like iBungee laces, July 31, 2009
By M. J Lane (USA)
I've been using these laces now for about a month. I wanted to wait a while to give a review because, for me, this is an entirely new way of lacing up my running shoes. In short they have been perfect. They allow you to find just the right level of tension and then lock that setting in. I find with standard laces that I'm always readjusting them as the shoe or the lace itself stretches. With the iBungee laces you don't have to worry about that because they flex with your foot. it is also possible to slip the shoe on and off without ever releasing the clamp that holds the laces in place.

In short, it makes my running shoe easier to put on and take off while also making them more comfortable to run it. The "maintenance" is also reduced because I don't need to readjust my laces nearly as often. Highly recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Best Speed Laces Around!, January 26, 2011
By S Smith
As an recreational triathlete, I've purchased quite a few variations of "quick laces". I must say, this brand is the best! They outlast the shoes, hold tight and offer just enough flex for comfort. I recently did my 1st marathon in these and have a half ironman coming up. I plan to continue purchasing this brand. I would definitely recommend the I-bungee brand to my teamates and anyone else in the market for speed laces.

2.0 out of 5 stars.  Great concept but less than ideal execution., December 4, 2010
By englshivy (North Carolina)
I bought these laces for my childrens' shoes. I bought according to the sizing chart and the laces were just barely long enough- there was not enough slack to tie off the ends as shown in the photos. After only a week of use the plastic wrappings on the ends of the laces have broken off and the fabric at the ends of the laces is unraveling. Although I plan to buy more elastic laces when these are no longer wearable (which won't be long), I won't buy this brand again.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Going for a workout a little easier, October 17, 2010
By Ms Atom (NJ, United States)
Ever since I got shoes which had bungee laces sewn in them a couple years back, I started searching for other active / workout shoes with bungee laces. Since the number of options of shoes with sewn bungee laces is not very good (except for some in the Skechers bikers line for casual shoes), getting bungee laces to replace regular laces was the next best thing.

I got two to match my workout and running shoes, and now getting ready to workout has become a walk in the park. No longer do I have to stop and retie my laces, which I did not get right most of the time when I was in a hurry. My running shoes and workout shoes have become as easy to put on as slip-ons. The only reason why I haven't given 5 stars is because the getting the length right was a bit confusing. I measured the laces in my shoes and got two different sizes accordingly. I have had no problem with the shorter 26 inch white in 7 1/2 running shoe. But the longer 30 inch black in 7 1/2 workout shoe seems somewhat tight and pinches the top of my feet a bit if I am wearing the shoe for a few hours.

In the end, I definitely recommend them, and all my new laced shoes will have stretch laces from now on.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  What a Handy invention!, June 5, 2011
By Janet Ainsworth
I was skeptical that these you could actually use these laces to turn sneaker type shoes into slip-ons, but they really do work. You don't need to buy the special grommets for them--theywork fine just threaded through the original shoe grommets or lace-holes.

They do take a little fussing with to adjust them; my right shoe was just tad too tight originally, but a few tweaks and now they're both really comfortable. And I can't believe how much easier it is getting them on and off. My arthritic fingers love them!

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Just what I wanted, May 14, 2011
By A. Klein
I like wearing bungee style slip on shoes. This can limit the style/brands of shoes I want to buy. With these bungee laces, I can turn any pair of shoes into bungee laced shoes. Took a bit of adjusting to get the laces in straight and properly with the right amount of tightness but since then I haven't had to do anything to them.

3.0 out of 5 stars.  Not for high cut boots or shoes, April 24, 2011
By Brownie
It's probably my own fault for not thinking this through before purchasing, but I learned that these laces do not work for higher cut shoes or boots.
My intention was to use these for my higher (just at the ankle) cut boots that I put on after snowboarding. I wanted to be able to just take off my boarding boots and slip into these in one motion. Doesn't work. You have to still release the laces to allow enough room to slip your foot in, then tighten again so it's tight enough to walk in. Still requires two hands doesn't save any time so I just stayed with my old laces in the end.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Elastic Laces are GREAT!, February 1, 2010
By King's Man (Detroit, Michigan)
I ran across elastic laces while evaluating some shoes. I tried a pair and have been hooked ever since. They keep your shoes comfortably snug and make putting them on and taking them off shoes really easy, which to me is the best part. There are different design types, but the I have found that the simple elastic laces, e.g. iBungee to work equally well. If you order laces that are too long you can easily trim them once they are installed. I have them on all my sneakers and snow boots.

I got these laces for my 90 year-old mother who isn't supposed to bend over to put on shoes and wears athletic shoes. She can use them as slip-ins with a long-handled shoe horn and it works great. They are super for me because I don't ever like to untie and tie my shoes.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  i bungee laces, November 13, 2009
By tigger (ma)
I have tried other "lock laces" and these by far are the easiest to use. If you don't get them too long, you can just tuck in the ends rather than cutting them off and then they can be reused on new shoes! Most of the other systems require you to cut off the ends making them useless after one pair of shoes. I go thru running shoes about every 4-5 months so this will save me having to repurchase the laces. A great find especially if you do triathalons, makes transition much easier!

2.0 out of 5 stars.  Some things are better left alone, October 26, 2011
By Liza
This may be a good product if the aglets (ends of the laces) did not come off one of the shoelaces. During the first attempt at tightening the laces while the shoes were on my granddaughter, the ends came off without any effort. Obviously, without the aglets the shoelaces just fray and eventually come apart. Sure wish I could have gotten my money's worth. I guess it is back to the original laces that came with the shoes.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Excellent Product for Triathlons or Daily Wear, October 11, 2011
By bluefalcon (California)
I initially purchased the ibungee's for use in triathlon transitions, but I've put them on nearly all of my running shoes, as the comfort and ease of use of the laces are great. As mentioned, you should probably buy a size bigger than you usually would (34 inches worked fine for Mens size 9.5), and don't be afraid to cut the laces to size after installing them. The ends will fray somewhat after you cut them, so first just tie a knot at the point you want the laces to end and cut off the excess. The allows for a cleaner look and less annoyance from the extra laces flapping around.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Does its job well!, February 7, 2011
By Crow's nest (Finger Lakes, NY)
Due to arthritis and a recently replaced hip, I bought these laces so I could wear athletic shoes when exercising. I have other slip-on shoes but not suitable for long-term walking or cycling.

One I got them laced through the sneakers, they work perfectly. They hold the sneakers as snugly as you want, yet you can get your feet into them.

My only complaint is that the packaging was very confusing. At first it seemed some of the hardware was missing. I was about to give up and send them back when I finally realized that the packaging information covered three different products all at the same time! You had to read the color-coded labels to figure out when they were addressing which product! That struck me as cheap and unnecessarily confusing - but in the end I got what I wanted and I'm happy with it.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Incredibly Durable on Lace-Eating Shoes..., August 12, 2011
By Nathaniel Allen (Oakland)
For work around the house, I bought a pair of $10 "garage sale" Oboz shoes at REI that were in OK shape, but that I wouldn't mind trashing. The returned merchandise tag on these shoes read something along the lines of, "Customer states laces broke." Huh? Well, sure enough, these shoes shredded two more sets of heavy duty cord style laces in very short order, just from normal tying and daily use.

As sort of a last ditch effort to validate my $10 bargain find, I took a shot on these laces. That was a year and a half ago, and amazingly, they're still going strong!

For the first few months, I went through the motions of tightening/loosening these laces via the included pinch clamp. After that, I just tucked the loose ends between the laces and the tongue, and left 'em tight. Since then, I don't touch them much -- every now and then the loose ends get a little wild and get loose, and need re-tucking. Never while I'm wearing them, though: they come loose when taking off or putting on the shoes.

I can't explain why these elastic laces aren't being ripped apart by the same metal eyeloops that killed off the traditional laces, since they're under constant tension and probably even move back and forth a little as my foot flexes. But they haven't. They're comfortable. My shoe fits perfectly -- never too loose or too tight.

So I'm going to stick with them. And the spare set of laces I bought to replace these elastics when *I Knew* they would inevitably fail? They're here in my drawer, waiting to be called upon, but it's not looking like they're going to be needed anytime soon.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Nice product, sizing is difficult, July 31, 2011
By Tax & Car Guy (New Rochelle, NY United States)
I like these laces, but the size is off. I wear a 13A and found the recommended sizes to be too large. I bought several, but the smaller I bought, the better it fit. I used the larger ones for some snow boots. Would be perfect if you did not have to try a few to get the right size. That gets expensive.

These laces are simply amazing. There is no need for their eyelets, and they work simply, yet perfectly. Whomever designed these things is a genius.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  34" good for mens 10.5, July 11, 2011
By Napertuckytim (CA)
I like these, 34" worked well for size 10.5 low top, not a lot of length left but I like the fact there is not a bunch of slack for a clean look, elastic so I can slip on and go.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  great product, easy to use, July 4, 2011
By K. Karjala
I'd been using curly kids' laces on my walking shoes because I hate tying shoes and especially hate having to re-tie and then feeling like one shoe is tighter than the other. When I bought a second pair of shoes I went looking for the laces in town. Couldn't find any, so checked online and found these. Decided to try them and really like them! They're much easier to put through the holes on the shoes than the curly ones. I like the lock feature and the tension stays equal under all conditions. I'll definitely be using these in all my lace-up shoes from now on.

Others had recommended buying longer laces than expected, so I got 38" for my low-rise walking shoes, and they were too long since with the lock on there you don't need to tie the laces. I just reordered a shorter pair for me and will give the longer ones to DH, who has a bigger foot.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Bungee Stretch Laces (4-Inch White Laces with Off White Race Lock, June 28, 2011
By Jeannie
I got these laces for my everyday New Balance walking type shoe. I recently had a hip replacement surgery and the physical theraphist recommended stretch laces for my shoes. They worked great for me. They enabled me to put my own shoes on without assistance using with an extra long shoe horn during the recovery period & I think they are more comfortable than the regular string type lace. They also do not come untied at inconvenient times. The ends stick straight up in the air past the lock which is not too attractive. Maybe a longer lace would have enabled me to tie a bow.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Elastic speed laces, June 23, 2011

If you are like me and too lazy to tie your shoes, but want the look of laces, sped laces are the way to go. I've been wearing them for several weeks and highly recommend them.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Great product, May 9, 2011
By IT dude (Dallas TX)
I love to use this laces; i still think 34" is too long; next time i will just get 30 or so". I had to tie regular laces for use. I guess i could just cut them and burnt the ends. I run with it almost daily; save me a lot of time from tying the shoe lace but the biggest advantage is that the laces will not come loose when i run (on the treadmill). It's a big pain to stop the treadmill, tie shoe lace and run again. Really kills the momentum.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Incredible!, April 4, 2011
By Matthew S. Cole (Okinawa, Japan)
These laces are one of the best purchases I have made during my triathlon and marathon training! The only thing I wished I had purchased in addition is the zero friction eyelets. The laces work great without them, but would have been much easier to adjust in the beginning if I had the zero frictions!

5.0 out of 5 stars.  they really work, March 30, 2011
By Ruth B. Klein
I was worried that elastic laces would not be snug enough for athletic shoes. They work perfectly, though. They hold the shoes with support and allow one to slip in and out of them quickly. I am very happy with them.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Love these laces!!!!, March 14, 2011
By KA
I just ordered more of these laces and I am wondering how I ever managed without them! They save me time on my morning run but more importantly they make the pressure on my running shoes even without having to tug and pull on the laces until they are just right! I am using them without the friction free fittings and find the size guide to be accurate.

2.0 out of 5 stars.  Too difficult, March 8, 2011
By Becky
I bought these laces for my son who is Autistic and has a visual disablity. He also wears smo's. These were recommended by his P.T. I thought they would be easy for him to independently get on and off. Without the zero-friction accessories they make it very difficult to tighten. He also has trouble squeezing the lock to tighten. I now have twelve dollars in this product and the zero-friction screws are another 6 plus shipping. There has to be a better solution for my son than this product. Very frustrated. Becky

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Does its job well!, February 7, 2011
By K. Palma (Finger Lakes, NY)

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Very happy with this product., January 8, 2011
By J.Brandt (Miami, FL USA)
I purchased these laces to simplify tying my 3 year old's sneakers and my concerns were ease of use and that they'd be too long. Fortunately these have worked out perfectly. 22"length is perfect for size 10 (toddler) shoes and will probably work for another size or two, and though they're still difficult for a 3 year old to adjust, they've made life a bit easier for us.

2.0 out of 5 stars.  Could be better, December 4, 2010
By ld (san francisco, ca)
My kid's preschool has a no shoelace policy, so I got pair of the 22" iBungee Stretch Laces to replace the original shoelaces on my kid's running shoe. The laces were sloppily bundled with a rubber band inside a zip lock bag -- it looks nothing like the retail packaging shown on amazon's site. When I try to lace the shoes, one of the aglets came right off. I had to finish lacing with the help of a pair of tweezers.

It would be helpful if there's a size guide for kids shoe sizes. I had to guess and guessed wrong. 22" is way too short for my kid's toddler size 11c shoes; to make it fit, I laced only 5 of 7 eyelets.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Best shoelaces ever, November 13, 2010
By mymim (Santa Barbara, California)
The ibungee laces are the best thing that's happened to shoes since the padded arch! I bought them for all my lace-up shoes, from the fancy wingtips to the trusty sports walkers. Although I have nerve damage in my left hand that makes these laces particularly useful, any able-bodied person will soon prefer them. No stretched-too-long causing triple knots! An ingenious product I show off to all my friends.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Great for comfort, sports, and preventing irritated spots from pinching laces, November 11, 2010
By J. Pen (USA)
I love these laces. They are great for running and walking. Often with normal (non-stretch) laces, areas of my feet get irritated from areas that end up too tight. I was constantly adjusting my laces to make them tighter at the heel without pinching my foot at the top. These laces stretch, but not too much. So my shoe stays tight where I want it but still stretches enough to flex when I walk, so I don't end up with irritated areas from the laces. I am amazed by how comfortable they are compared to normal laces. Particularly great for longer distances, but I appreciate them on shorter walks too.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Great replacement laces, especially for kid's shoes!, October 4, 2010
By evye in ca
Easy on and off for kid's shoes! It's had to find replacement laces you don't have to tie in kid's sizes but they have them. Bought these laces to replace the ones worn out in my daughter's Keen shoes.... work great even with the Keen hardware. The variety of colors makes it fun too!

3.0 out of 5 stars.  22" is perfect for toddler size 8 sneakers, September 28, 2010
By jilla
I got these for my daughter, but it's harder to open up the shoe wide and easily slide her foot in there by herself than with the regular laces. I have to hold them open for her and then tighten them again for her. When I was threading them into the shoe, the plastic covering the ends came off so it will be hard to re-use these on a different pair of shoes (hence 3 stars), you have to be able to thread both laces through the little spring loaded piece. The 22" fit perfectly on a toddler size 8 sneaker, but she has narrow feet and I have to pull them as tight as they go. Opened wide to get her foot in there is no slack, but pulled tight there's enough of a tail dangling, if it were longer I'd have to tuck it in. If your kid has a wider foot or wide shoes you may want to get longer ones.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Bungee Stretch Laces Do the Job, September 7, 2010
By Denia (Chicago, IL USA)
These stretchy laces did exactly what I wanted them to do: Lace the shoes and you never have to tie or untie them again. They are secured at the end. I just slip my feet into my athletic shoes and I'm ready to go. People with wider feet might need longer than the 34inch laces I bought. A simple idea that works.

3.0 out of 5 stars.  elastic shoelaces, August 31, 2010
By L. Parker (San Antonio, tx)
These are only ok. I prefer the regular elastic shoelaces but for my purpose they will suffice. Because they are so thin they do not 'give' like regular elastic shoelaces. Even with lenthening them using the lock I am not able to just slide my foot in my shoes which is what I needed. I did receive them earlier than anticipated.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  These laces will change your life-or at least the way you put on your shoes!, August 25, 2010
By Firstharp (Winter Park, FL United States)
I walk three to five miles almost daily for exercise. I recently had foot surgery to remove a cyst on top of my ankle which may have resulted from tying conventional shoe laces too tight. I tried iBungee laces just about the time I recovered enough to resume walking for exercise, and I'm so glad I did. You do not need to take up all the slack in the iBungee laces in order for them to hold the shoes on your feet comfortably and securely. You can put on and take off your shoes quickly and easily. The laces and locks are very simple to install by following the included instructions. As soon as I saw how much I liked them, I put them on all my husband's and my athletic shoes. I'm also giving them as small gifts to friends in my walking group.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Work well, would have liked more locks, July 26, 2010
By David Alexander
These were easy to lace up and work well, but I would have liked more locks to come with it. As it is, each lace only comes with one, so you have to put both ends through the same one. I would have liked each end to have a lock, but it still works fine this way.

3.0 out of 5 stars.  okay..watch size and more, April 19, 2010
By azmom (peoria, AZ)
I just recently started training for a triathlon and stretch laces were recommended to help with transitions. After reading reviews, I was smart and ordered longer than I would have thought to and was glad I did. The aglets (plastic piece at end of lace) came right off the first time I laced the shoes. Once the tightening thing was put on though it didn't matter too much. I didn't get the zero-friction fittings and feel like they would have made a big difference in how easily I could get the shoes to open up. They do hold the shoe on my foot well (though feels a bit tight despite adjusting them)and I don't have to worry about lacing them or having to adjust them during my runs.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  good development in lacing shoes, January 4, 2010
By Michael Ryan
The stretch laces work well for even tension and support and allow you to take on and off the shoes quickly. My only complaint is that there was no easy way to find the required length of the laces. I guessed 30" for my 6 eyelet shoes, and have found those to be a bit short with this brand of lace. 36" would have worked better because it would allow the shoes to be more relaxed when not involved in an activity.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Not Just for Runners and Athletes, November 4, 2009
By Woodworker in Maine (Jay, ME USA)
These iBungee Laces are intended for the runner or athlete, to allow him/her to change quickly into running shoes. However, I find they are very convenient for another market - the older person who may have arthritis in their hands or those with knee/back problems that makes bending while tying laces difficult. I have started using them in all of my lace shoes and it makes it so much easier to put them on in the mornings! I heartily recommend this product for anyone who has problems lacing their shoes and sneakers - do ensure that you purchase the correct length, though.

I recently underwent hand surgery so had my left hand in a cast for six weeks. These laces were easy to install and adjust so that I only needed the one hand for putting on my shoes. I put a pair on my walking shoes and my cross trainers and no longer had to ask the wife for any help tying my shoes. They hold in place extremely well during all activities.

Great item, just as described. Works very well and easy to "install". I would highly recommend for kids as I got these for my grandson who can tie laces but would knot them up the keep the excess lace ends from coming undone. This works well for him.

2.0 out of 5 stars.  Missing Grommets, February 10, 2011
By Elissandra N. Roy
These are great laces IF you already have the set of 12 grommets that you screw into the eyelet holes of your sneakers, through which these laces are meant to be threaded. The eyelet fixtures or grommets reduce friction and are what make these laces so useful. But they are not included in the package, and the description ought to say so. I have threaded the laces through the regular eyelets and they work, sort of, but not with the ease they should.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Pricey but they work on the kids shoes, September 15, 2011
By D. MCKICHAN
Both the kids can tie their shoes but they don't remain that way for long. Even when my wife or I double tie them for them, they still often come undone. I figured I would give these a shot and picked up one pair in a size 30 for testing purposes. I put them on a child's sized 13 1/2 tennis shoe. That size works well and I am glad I didn't order the 26 I had thought about as I wouldn't have been able to hit the last eyelet and still hace roonm to tie them off. My son thinks they are neat and picked up on how to use them very quickly. I will likely be ordering a few more to outfit a few other of their shoes (need some other colors as well). Also think it is neat concept and will be picking up a pair for my own use. Only con is they are a bit spendy (They actually cost more then the shoes I put them on since I got those on clearance). My hope is though they will last over time and I can get them on a few pairs in the next year or so. I would recommend.

3.0 out of 5 stars.  effective but not perfect, December 30, 2011
By Brad Aman (Webster, NY United States)
this product is my first experience with elastic laces, so i didn't know quite what to expect. i love that i can slip my shoes on and off quickly with the new laces, but for running, i'm most comfortable with a relatively tight shoe, and it's difficult to get that with this product. when i do tighten the laces to the point where i'm comfortable running, i can't leave them that way when i finish running or the laces will start to dig painfully into my foot at the top of the shoe where the lock secures the laces.
