4.0 out of 5 stars.  Good product, July 23, 2010
By aiyo
I often dont find it necessary to review a product if its good and already has many good reviews, or if its bad and negative reviews has already been given, but I am surprised to see such few
and unclear review for this product thus I thought I can share a thing or two.

Shipping was very fast, price is cheap, product works and had no problem to pump it up to 110psi for my road tire, valve seems strong unlike some which I have had in the past which would just torn apart when I try to remove the pump.

Unless you like to ride your bikes with very low pressure tires and always run into pinch flat (in that case you better have thicker & more durable tubes), then I would recommend these tires, they are a little thinner compare to other tubes I had, but like I said so far it works without any problem.

1.0 out of 5 stars.  Junk!, October 16, 2011
By philico (USA)
I bought three thinking they would be a good replacement to my factory supplied Schwalbe tubes. My tires can take up to 100 psi but when I tried to inflate past 60 psi, they all failed by bursting at around the valve. There is nothing I can do other than throw them away. This is the worst quality tubes I ever used.

1.0 out of 5 stars.  Beware These Tubes Are Marketed As Kenda/Giant Pure Junk, September 30, 2011
By AllMixedUp
I bought at least 10 of these tubes from my LBS before I realized they were the reason I kept getting flats. I would get flats on the road, then I would change out the tube, finish my ride and they would go flat even when I was done with the ride and the bike was hanging on the wall. It made me crazy. I would patch the tube then fill it up and BOOM! a violent blow out. And this was only after putting in 100PSI in the tube. I changed out the rim tape, sanded down the spoke holes, changed tire brands, never used a tire lever to get the tires on/off still same thing happened. Flats on the inside of the tube facing the spoke holes or a violent blowout of the tube when I hit the smallest of depressions in the road. Do not buy these tubes, Giant is also selling them in their box but inside it is made by Kenda. I noticed my local LBS pulled all of them off the shelf in the last couple of weeks, coincidence? I realized it was the tubes bc I had the same problem in the front and back tires, until in the back tire I ran a different tube and I have not gotten a flat in 10 months, whereas in the front tire (which is usually a rare flat unless you hit a rock or pothole) I get a flat almost every other ride. The flats were not consistently on the rim side some were caused by minor depressions in the road, so I didn't catch it right away, until I realized I was no longer getting flats in the back tire even when I would hit little potholes or run over beer bottle glass. Sucks it took me a longtime to realize it was the brand of tube.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Very satisfied, August 18, 2010

I could not find this size tube anywhere, with the Schrader valve. Very happy to have found it on Amazon. Fast shipping, fine product. I'm back on the road...

4.0 out of 5 stars.  KENDA bike tube, December 21, 2010
By oldhotrodder2 (Westhope ND)
I bought these tubes and new tires to put on my wife's bike. Easy to install, feels like a quality tube. The don't seem to leak down like the old tubes did, even when new. Good price and quick delivery.

1.0 out of 5 stars.  Didn't hold air, February 4, 2011
By Natureboy
Presta valve was defective, all the air escaped while inflating it. So, the air didn't stay in it...which is important to me in a bike tube. Maybe I'm the rarity, but it was really inconvenient.

1.0 out of 5 stars.  Not worth the money, March 20, 2011
By Snowplow (Missouri)
I bought 4 of these because they were cheap and I'd at least heard of Kenda tires. Installed one on my cross bike and put less than 120 miles on it before it blew. The tube had split open where it bulged into a spoke nipple hole pucker in my rim tape. Which was maybe 2mm deep at most. And I'd used tire talc.

Complete trash, giving them to the garbage man tomorrow.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  presta is best, September 7, 2010
By The Oracle (CA)
The sharp metal of my rim cut into my old Schrader valve causing a leak. Metal stem Presta is the way to go, not only it's stronger but the threaded stem allows me to lock it down from moving.

1.0 out of 5 stars.  Lasted less than 2 months., September 22, 2010
By dopefish
Didn't last long before the valve stem blew out. It's worthless now.

I was never happy with the feel of the tire to begin with. Just never felt right with this tube, despite being the EXACT size recommendation of my tire manufacturer.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  moneys worth, January 14, 2010
By iCommute (OR, USA)
I put these tubes in some quick roller sports and it seemed that they were a little too big, but it all worked out smoothly in the end, im running them at 60 psi currently. they are that cheap thin rubber either.

3.0 out of 5 stars.  Good for Portability, October 10, 2011
By Sean G. Meyer (Denver, CO USA)
I buy some of these every so often, but for me they serve a very specific purpose. The tubes are extremely thing and have pretty much zero resistance to flats, and for me that means I'm likely to get a flat at least once a week using these tubes. The nice thing though is that they fold up very small compared to some thicker tubes, and because of this I can easily fit one in my seat bag along with the other stuff I bring with me.

So I buy one or two of these every so often just to have one in my bag with me because a stronger and thicker tube wouldn't fit, and it's nice to have something besides just patches.

3.0 out of 5 stars.  Good Tubes, Kenda QC Should Be Better Though, February 24, 2012
By Dako (Tampa)
I bought 6 of these for my cyclo-cross bike, and out of the 6, two had to be exchanged due to the fact the presta stem and valve were terribly corroded. It almost looked as if the stems had been recycled and put on new tube casings. These are a hard to come by size though (26 x 1.5), so I will keep using them.

For those complaining about pinch flats, I'd seriously recommend letting these tubes settle in the tire before going out riding. Fill them to 20psi, work the tire around against the rim in a side to side motion (going the entire circumference of the tire), and then let them set overnight. This also allows for a good opportunity to check for slow stem leaks or defects. Then once everything feels settled, inflate the tube to your normal riding pressure.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  great, November 8, 2011

Great replacements, and, very reasonably priced. As durable and puncture-resist than tubes that cost twice as much. Overall, a great product.

1.0 out of 5 stars.  Flat again, August 12, 2011
By J. W. Mullins (West, by God, Virginia)
This tire went flat withing a day of installing it. After replacing it with another brand, which is still holding up. I discovered that the leak was through the valve stem and can not be patched or corrected. And as it would cost me more to return the item I decided to just accept that I got a bad one and more on. That isn't to say that there is anything wrong with the product line. I may have just gotten one bad one, with my sample size of one there is no way for me to tell.

1.0 out of 5 stars.  Blowout on first ride, July 29, 2011
By V. Muccioli
I had a flat and took my bike to a shop. They put a Kenda tube in with a Kenda tire. On the first ride of about 1 mile over smooth roads, the tube blew out.

2.0 out of 5 stars.  Not durable, only use as a spare, July 22, 2011
By Mikey
I went through several of these before switching to Avenir Thorn Resistant tubes. One of them had a leaking valve out of the box, and a couple others got flats much sooner than the stock tubes on my road bike. These seem very fragile compared to the Avenirs. I would only use these as spares since they are small enough to fit in a seat bag.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Perfect for family mountain bike, July 13, 2011
By Mike
I bought this tube in combination with the Kenda Rain V-Cut Wire Bead Bicycle Tire, Skinwall, 26X1.5 for a 15 year old Giant bike. I got the Schrader valve 26x1.5-1.75 size for the tire which is 26x1.5. With a small amount of finesse I stuffed the tube into the new tire, filled it up and set out for a trial ride. Worked like a champ at about 70 psi. This is mainly pavement/sidewalk riding, so easy terrain for the tire and tube, but so far it has done everything I wanted for a low price.

Paired with the aforementioned tire this makes a great family bike rider combo.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Everything you expect in a tube, June 23, 2011
By CrankWrench
I bought a half dozen of these tubes to use on a couple of rehab project bikes. I use Kenda tubes all the time in other sizes as well. The main reason I selected these was price. I'm completely satisfied.

1.0 out of 5 stars.  failed immediately (and explosively), May 30, 2011

The inner tube exploded at first inflation. I contacted the manufacturer,
sent them a photo and other information but they didn't stand behind
their product. Disappointing.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Cheap..., January 5, 2010
By Rusty (CA)
These worked for my wheel barrow, but the valves have a slow leak. They need to be pumped up before use. But the price was low, and they served the purpose.

1.0 out of 5 stars.  Horrible Design, May 28, 2011
By markh
The valve for pumping air into was not standard to normal bicycle pumps. Also, when I did finally get it pumped up, the valve designed was in such a way that air would be immediately released once the pump was removed. Also, after removing the pump from the valve (the very first time), the valve broke. I am uncertain how or why this company would even attempt to sell a product like this. This seems to be the equivalent of snake oil to bicycle tires. I think Amazon should remove this product from its website.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Fine, September 23, 2011
By AreGee
Works fine with no apparent defects. This is a tough size to find online so I settled for it and will probably buy again in any situation. I don't see why my local bike shop would do any better. Aren't they all from China, anyway?

2.0 out of 5 stars.  Have to re-inflate too often, September 7, 2011
By RJD
I bought three 18" tubes to fix 2 bikes. I had trouble finding that size, and these were the only ones at a decent price. All 3 leak air slowly. I have to re-inflate the tires every 2 weeks or my daughters will be riding on the rims. The old tube that I didn't replace stays inflated with no noticeable loss. I wouldn't buy these again.

1.0 out of 5 stars.  lousy brand!!, September 7, 2011
By M. Caruso (New Jersey, USA)
The valve snapped on the tube which had come with my new bike so I took the tire to a bike shoppe to have the tube replaced since I don't know how to do that. They charged me twenty dollars for the tube and "labor cost" to install a new tube and it was a Kenda brand tube. I bought two extra tubes to be sure I had extras in case I got another flat. At home my bike sat on my back porch for a few days and when I went to ride it, the same tire was already flat and wouldn't take air so I again took my bike to the bike shoppe and had the tube replaced AGAIN. The man at the bike shoppe showed with a tire guage that he'd filled the tire with the recommended pressure range on the sidewall to demonstrate for me how to use the guage that he sold me. This time I gently leaned the tire against the wall in my hallway and planned to put it back on my bike the next morning. Within a couple of hours I suddenly heard a whooshing noise that sounded like a tractor trailer's air brakes and went to investigate. I found the tire completely flat! Needlessly to say, I was VERY annoyed. When I took out the inner tube, I found a hole in it. It had apparently burst. The bike shoppe uses Kenda brand tubes. I would not waste another cent on that crap brand of tubes!! I'm just lucky that it happened at home and not while I was out riding so that I didn't get into an accident or have to walk all the way home :(

I suspect now that the bike shoppe uses this crap brand on purpose to get you to have to waste your money in constantly returning to buy more tubes. Well I simply won't give them my business at all now. Off to WalMart to buy a DIFFERENT brand of tubes. Ugh!

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Easily fit in my CST Selecta 26x1.75s, May 16, 2012
By RLR
My 1987 era MTB needed a new set of tires, so I decided to swap out my heavy thorn resistant tubes for this new set. I was able to fit them manually, with no additional dry lube. I'd buy them again.

1.0 out of 5 stars.  Tube Leaked, May 15, 2012
By David (NEVADA CITY, CA, United States)
I have changed many tires and tubes. But this tube leaked. On removal I found a small pin size whole at the seam. Its the first time I've ever had trouble with a tire and tube change. Unfortunately I was putting a new tire on a rim that was quite tight. It certainly made for a lot of work. I won't order that tube again.

I really do wish that Amazon would carry a few higher quality tubes for prime members. These are the items you need in two days. I don't think Kenda is considered a good brand.

1.0 out of 5 stars.  Poor Quality, April 3, 2012
By el
I can only reinforce the review of others: the tubes are of extremely poor quality. They rupture around the valve and the seams at around 100 psi - without being even on the road. Those tubes are not only a waste of money they are also dangerous when failing during a ride.

1.0 out of 5 stars.  Popped after 26 miles, March 13, 2012
By B. Hamilton
I bought a brand new road bike with these tubes and I inflated them to 110psi (max is 120). I rode the bike for 26 miles over 2 days, and it ended up popping right near the valve on the inside of the tube. This wasn't a puncture, it was just from a low quality tube.
