4.0 out of 5 stars.  No Frills, But Gets the job done, January 11, 2010
By Evan Appleby (New York, NY USA)
I have been using this cover for about 2 months and have left my bike outside 24/7. During that time, it has snowed and rained pretty hard and this cover has not yet shown any wear and tear that would have me doubt it's quality. The cover is somewhat tailored, but I imagine that it could easily fit a road bike as it would a mountain bike (I have a mountain bike).

Based on the picture, the "Bell Bike Cover" appears to be identical to the "Avenir Nylon Bicycle Cover" except in gray rather than in black. The storage pouches are basically worthless since the covers are so hard to jam back in the pouches once they have been taken out.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Good Cover, September 24, 2009
By Toast (USA)
I have a road bike with Aero bars. It does not really fit that well on my bike. However, it does cover the whole bike is more important for me. The material is not really that thick but it gets the job done.

2.0 out of 5 stars.  flimsy, September 3, 2009
By ed (OK)
The snaps that are supposed to hold the cover on the bike when it's windy broke as I was unfolding it right out of the package. Also, it would be helpful if it had velcro straps to strap on to the bike instead of just a carrying handle.

2.0 out of 5 stars.  Not the best..., May 25, 2010
By TheNextBillGates (All over the US)
As others have mentioned, the material is a thinner, stretchable plastic. You'll never get it back in the provided bag. It will fit over 1 bike, no more. Even with that 1 bike it won't come to the ground and will leave quite a bit of the tires showing. The type of fabric prevents it from sliding easy over the bike and will 'cling' to the handlebars and such...be careful you don't poke a hole in it.

1.0 out of 5 stars.  Better to buy a tarp, December 29, 2009
By A. Kutter (Hopewell Junction, NY United States)
We bought two of these covers and were completely disappointed. Not only would they constantly blow off, one ultimately ripped due to high winds and cold, icy weather. The second cover suffered the same fate not even 2 weeks later. We found an old blue tarp in the basement that we had bought from Home Depot that works better. Should have just done that first.

1.0 out of 5 stars.  Would be better for a tricycle, November 24, 2010
By A. Day (Torrance, CA USA)
I have a Schwinn Cruiser Deluxe. This barely covers the handlebars and seat. It doesn't come close to covering the tires. In fact, it stops short of the tires. I thought I was getting a cover for my entire bike. This would work better for a children's bike or tricycle. The only way they could have it cover an entire adult bike, as picture, is if they fused two together.

The material is also VERY smelly - a nasty vinyl smell. It's about one grade up from thin plastic tablecloth covers you buy at the party store. Cheesy. Bell used to make quality products. I wouldn't call this one of them.

1.0 out of 5 stars.  Junk!!!, May 31, 2010
By Walter A. Holt (HAVRE DE GRACE, MD, US)
I just bought this for my 28" new Bike. It is flimsy Vinyl and not worth the money. It will not fit over the handlebars unless they are extremely turned. The very 1st time I used it the one of the break handles punctured a hole in it. I have been happy with bell products but this one is a rip off as far as quality goes.

1.0 out of 5 stars.  NOT Worth it, May 7, 2010
By Alison M. Mills
I have two of these covers, about a month old each, and they both already have many holes in them from the wind catching them and the bikes toppling over every single day. Nothing I have done works to prevent this, the snaps broke the first night I had them on the bicycles. They also are not long enough to cover an average size beach cruiser, I can barely get it down over the top half of the tires. This may be a good cover for a different type of bike, but absolutely not a beach cruiser. Very dissapointed.

1.0 out of 5 stars.  Super flimsy, April 22, 2010
By GK172 (NYC)
This is really bad, slight wind actually ripped the fabric around the snaps. I've only had this for a month. Looking for a better solution. This would probably work better indoors. I now have to tie a bugee cord around the cover and bike to keep it from falling off.

2.0 out of 5 stars.  Wind destroys it., March 26, 2012
By HW
I recently purchased this same cover at Walmart. It worked just fine for rain, but we just got heavy winds and it tore both of the cheap rubber snaps off. It also got caught on the pedal and put a rip up the side due to the winds. Now I have to go buy bungee cords to hold it on. I hope that works, but it should not have happened. It is not heavy-duty or wind proof by any means. Also, the cover acted like a parachute and took my bicycle to the ground. I do not recommend this product.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Pretty good for price, March 5, 2012
By Nik (CA, USA)
Pretty good quality for the price...the cover doesn't stay on very good and blows off very easily but other than that, pretty good quality.
