I think this all one needs to know about the subject unless one intends to practice professionally It covers the history and current practice of anesthesia in reasonable detail. It's an easy read as well.

A thoroughly interesting and informative read. It is refreshing to have such a detailed book that lay-person and doctor alike would enjoy. It is nice that people can learn more about anaesthesia and appreciate how hard anaesthetists work to get where they are, as well as how complex an anaesthetic really can be. Well written, Dr O'Donnell.

Very useful and very informative!
The book reviews what anaesthetics are, how they are used, and what amount they should be used to be safe and reversible such that the one made asleep, no matter human or pet animal, would be able to regain conscious once again!!
