Checklists help hit main areas when transitioning from residency to practice. I'm committed to renting instead of buying for next couple years!

For every Medicine major, they wish to read Harrison’s ..., September 12, 2014

For every Medicine major, they wish to read Harrison’s Internal Medicine from cover to cover, yet they are most likely to have a Washington Manual of Medical Therapeutics in their pockets because it is concise and practical.
The Physician’s Guide to Personal Finance is a similar book when it comes to physician’s personal finance. It covers the topics of from a unique physician’s perspectives ranging from medical school years to finally being an attending. The author selected high-yield concepts to cover, provided a list of reference books should you decide to dive in.
For an investment of not many than 4 Starbuck lattes, you can rake in a lifetime dividends and financial stability. A must-read for medical students, residents even attending physicians.

A great book on basic and personal finance for the young physician. I plan to use this in a seminar and lecture series for the medical students.

Excellent High-Yield style Finance book, April 21, 2014

This book is a thoughtful and well-constructed overview of basic finance, written specifically for young physicians, most of whom have never taken a finance course and have minimal real world experience. Because medical training is all-consuming, many young physicians put off important decisions and financial steps or make rash, uninformed decisions. This book is a great tool to help its audience navigate the most important aspects of financial life. It is well-organized in an accessible, high-yield style that is familiar to medical students. Each chapter is easily digestible and information can be referenced quickly. I just wish I'd had this earlier in my career!
