Talks about real murders in Michigan. I bought it to read about a specific murderer. If you have an interest in learning about a specific person who was murdered and how it happened. This this book will tell you. Type in the book name and then the person's name to see if they are in the book.

I don't think I can finish this book., June 16, 2014

I'm only a few chapters in, and thought it would be an interesting read since I live in Michigan, and am one of those apparently ghoulish people who enjoys reading true crime.
The stories themselves are fascinating and I've enjoyed some of the details about what really goes on in a morgue and how bodies are studied. Tobin Buhk (who is not the same person as the coroner whose cases he covers) spent a lot of time observing and even assisting with post mortems. The two stars are for that.
But the writing, just no. The author goes all over the place, does not present facts in a linear fashion, repeats himself endlessly and pointlessly, annoyingly overuses parentheses and question marks, and has an unnerving tendency to change details and be inconsistent with facts, making the veracity of the stories untrustworthy. Where the heck was the editor? I rarely do this, but I think this book will be tossed in the trash within the next day or two. I wish it was well-written because I really wanted to enjoy this book.

Who killed the Ice Woman, September 14, 2011

I read this book and "Who killed the Ice Woman" because it is about my ex-wife Kathy. I never knew the whole story until I read Skeletons in the Closet. I find that the author done his best to present the story to his fullest knowledge and I appreciate all he has done. I found it interesting and as others have said a bit reputitious, but I did enjoy it. My questions are Why has no more been done to put the sorry SOBs in prison for the death of my ex-wife and mother of our 5 children!! I seriously believe he new husband William had a lot more to do with her death, seeing how he owned the gun!! I would love to see a better investigation done by Unsolved Mysteries or Unsolved Murders or even Cold Case Files to find that the Police and DA done a LOUSY Job when making their deals, and letting all involved go damn near free.
