When I get a sore throat it is hard to sleep at night with a dry scratchy throat. A teaspoon of honey helps, but I found having one of these slippery elms coats and soothes my throat a lot longer. I can always fall asleep after just one. I will always have them on hand. I didn't give a full five stars because I feel the taste can be better.

As a music teacher and vocalist, I use my voice most of the day, every day. Since I bought these lozenges, my cases of sore throat have decreased and when I do get one, it goes away within a day. They don't have a sickly sweet aftertaste or have menthol in them. They also work great for heartburn. I will buy many more of them in my life!

I always keep these on hand. I do not use them for a sore throat but to coat or soothe my stomach when it's acting up. I have IBS and slippery elm really helps me. This is the only brand where I can tolerate the taste. I have only tried the cherry flavor and they do taste odd and not like candy, but they are much better than other brands of chewables and liquid. And they are much more effective on my tummy! I always keep a stash in my purse, at work and at home.
