Cull the Swedish socialists

Ha ha ha. A fluoride mouth rinse. Yeah, this brings back some memories from my childhood. All Swedish children were required to undergo fluoride therapy to combat caries. The whole thing was very well-organized. Without warning, the "fluoride lady" would show up during a class in elementary school, with the fluoride we kids were supposed to "rinse but not swallow".
Most kids hated the procedure - they thought fluoride tasted like cow - so the lady always had an assistant, an even older and considerably grumpier lady whose job was to make sure everyone took their fluoride properly, and nobody tried to wash his mouth with water afterwards. A more weird detail was that the fluoride rinse came in small plastic cups which were differently coloured each time: sometimes they were blue, sometimes red, once they were yellow?! A mystery of my childhood I never solved, since the mouthwash itself was the same (and tasted the same) every time.
The above experience (which reminds me of Medication Time in a famous film starring one Jack Nicholson) is probably one of the few things the ever-so-diverse Swedish people have in common. I'm being ironic. Being forced by Nurse Ratched and her pet dinosaur to wash my mouth with an inorganic anion (whatever that is) made me into what I am today. An underemployed, over-aged fatality of Big Nurse State...with really good teeth. Happy rinsin', boys and girlz! :P

Best Brand for Adults or Children

If you're choosing between ACT or this Tom's fluoride rinse, go for this one. I recently bought some new dental care products at the recommendation of my dentist. I bought 3 varieties of the ACT brand before I found this one. All the others have coloring, are slightly irritating, and have a bad aftertaste (with or without alcohol). Tom's is at least 100% better no matter what your age.

All right, all right--it's not that bad

My original review is below. I was going to return this to the store for a refund after trying it once, but then I read the other reviews here, which made me realize that ACT is evidently tested on animals (who suffer far too much for our various needs and wants), and I also recalled that I take a supplement every day that I thought was awful tasting at first, but it grew on me, and now I actually like it. So I decided to finish the bottle of Tom's fluoride rinse in order to give it a fair shot, and the second time I used it, maybe because I knew what to expect, it was noticeably less horrible. Maybe in a month, I'll love it so much, I'll be disappointed that you're not supposed to swallow fluoride rinse, but even if not, this is perfectly fine. And it's the only fluoride rinse my grocery store (Rainbow in San Francisco) sells.
Original review, which was titled something like "Repulsive beyond belief":
I appreciate that this rinse doesn't contain alcohol or dye, and the ingredients list is definitely shorter and much less alarming than those found on the fluoride rinses at the corner drug store, but this rinse tastes almost exactly like the stuff you have to drink before having a colonoscopy. It's absolutely dreadful.

My 4 year old loves to use this mouth wash after brushing his teeth. It tastes great, it's all natural and doesn't have sugar. Perfect.
