By far this is one of my top five photography resources that I love to read and lend out to new photographers in the field. Useful and resourceful information, highly recommend this book!

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Great book, March 21, 2014
By Joshua Lincoln
Useful albeit slightly dated guide to macro photography.
Refreshing in many ways.
Discusses methods and rigs to accomplish tasks in a knowledgeable fashion.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  INFORMATIVE BOOK BUT......., August 15, 2013
By Ronald L. Elrod
The book is quite informative overall but I was disappointed that the author only discusses the subject in terms of taking photos with film. I was hoping to learn something about closeup and macro shooting with a digital camera. But given the fact that the book was written in 1998 , a fact I learned when I received the book, I can understand why the author makes no mention of digital cameras. Lastly, I found the book lacking because of the author's style of writing, somewhat bland to say the least. Ron E.
