Better than regular mouthwash

Purchased this mouthwash to simply try it out. I typically stay away mouthwash because of the alcohol it contains. This tends to cause a drying effect that I do not care for. This product worked nicely and was refreshing. I'm very happy with the results.

Hardly "wicked fresh"
|

While i don't mind the mouthwash itself and know that it is better than normal commercial brands, the "Wicked fresh" label is a little misleading. I knew it wasn't going to be as intense and harsh as Listerine, but i would describe the taste as more of a mild mint, maybe even with a hint of vanilla? This wave of peppermint was hardly refreshing. And a stronger peppermint flavor would be easy to add naturally. I really like to feel fresh after using mouthwash and felt like this could be better. Or at least labelled with something more fitting. I ended up adding a few drops of peppermint and cinnamon essential oils to the bottle to up the freshness. Also, the lid is really hard to open. I struggle with it almost every time i use it. Maybe it's just the particular bottle i have. Both of these "issues" certainly aren't deal breakers and i won't say i wouldn't buy it again, but I am still looking for a natural mouthwash that i like better.

Tom's was bought out: new products inferior!!!

Did you know that in the US, there is no legal definition for natural? You can put the word natural on anything you want. That is what is happening to Tom's. Since their buyout by Colgate, the quality has taken a dramatic plunge. I have bottles of the old and new product and upon comparing the ingredient list find that the organic products have vanished and been replaced with a couple of new chemical ingredients.
First, the flavor is awful. I used the older stuff and it left my mouth refreshed and clean, the new stuff leaves a sticky residue and overly sweet sensation on the gums. If you rinse with mouthwash before brushing (you should) then the combination is pretty terrible.
Please e-mail and post comments on Tom's website letting them know that we want the truly natural, whole earth, environmentally friendly, and chemical free products back!!!!!!!!!!
