Leave your mouth feeling naturally fresh! We've found that the herbal resins propolis and myrrh promote a naturally clean, healthy-mouth feeling. Our Propolis and Myrrh toothpastes help fight plaque with regular brushing, and we've added xylitol for great taste. We produce this toothpaste without fluoride because we respect our customers' diverse needs and interests. Are you concerned about the ingredients that go into the products you buy? We are too — and we want to share as much detail as possible with you, so that you can feel comfortable choosing Tom's. That's why we share every ingredient, its purpose, and its source. | Ingredient | Purpose | Source | | Calcium carbonate | Mild abrasive | Purified calcium from the earth | | Water | Consistency | Aquifer | | Glycerin | Moisturizer | Derived from Vegetable Oils | | Xylitol | Flavor | Birch trees or corn | | Carrageenan | Thickener | Seaweed (Eucheuma sp.) | | Sodium lauryl sulfate | Dispersant | Derived from coconut and/or palm kernel oil | | Cinnamomum cassia (cinnamon) leaf oil and other natural flavors | Flavor | Cinnamon (Cinnamomum zeylanicum and Cinnamomum cassia) leaves and bark, clove (Eugenia caryophyllus) flowers | | Sodium bicarbonate | Mouth freshness | Purified sodium bicarbonate from the earth | | Propolis extract | Clean, healthy-feeling mouth. | Mixture of tree resin (Propolis cera) gathered by bees | | Commiphora myrrha (myrrh) resin extract | Clean, healthy-feeling mouth | Resin from the myrrh (Commiphora myrrha) bush |

The best toothpaste ever, October 30, 2014

No clue why this toothpaste in the 24 tube pack is in the 'Industrial and scientific' section of Amazon, but I'm glad I found it. I guess it's because this is a quantity usually only bought by dentists to give to their patients.
For whatever reason, Tom's of Maine "Cinnamint" flavor, which has always been my favorite, is difficult to find in stores these days and I was looking to secure a supply that would last me for at least a few years. (Yes, years... with 24 tubes, I expect I won't need to buy toothpaste again for at least 4 years, at a rate of one tube every two months, give or take.)
The only downside to this toothpaste -- and indeed all of the Tom's of Maine flavors -- is they'll ruin you for anything else. Brands like Crest or Colgate actually make me gag now, they're so awful, probably due to the artificial sweeteners such as saccharine, which I can't stand.
