REDUCED Temp Sensitivity In 1 Week! Very Sweet Flavor, Not Over Foamy
|

I got my Colgate Sensitive locally. It is my first sensitivity reducing toothpaste and it has been a success! In less than a week my teeth are less sensitive to temperature. I can finally eat ice cream again without worry about it touching the sensitive part of my molars near the gum line.
As I've aged, like many others I know, my gums have receded some to expose bits of more sensitive tooth surface. I guess it's just part of my inevitable encroachment to decrepitude... Colgate Sensitive Whitening has helped stave off the associated tooth sensitivity and I'm very grateful.
I hope it will whiten as well as Colgate Optic White Icy Fresh did for me. It's not been long enough to tell yet.
In use Colgate Sensitive has a taste that is minty-nice but over sweet to me. It does not over-foam either; a problem with some other toothpastes in the past. I'll probably get used to the sweetness eventually so no big deal.
Because it directly and effectively addresses my tooth sensitivity I'm giving Colgate Sensitive 5 stars.
Hope this helps someone

You can get one tube for $4.79 or a two-pack for $8.79 at Walgreens. This is a rip-off. Buy it, but buy it somewhere else.

Works fine and a cheaper alternative

I have used this tooth paste for a long time without any problems. I switched from Sensidine because the Colgate for sensitive teeth was notably less expensive and it works just as we'll.

I have had sensitive teeth for about the last decade. For a long time I brushed with Sensodyne. If I brushed my teeth with anything else, within a couple of days my teeth would start to hurt again. Sensodyne is pretty expensive though and I recently decided that there must be some kind of "generic" available. I found this product and a couple others that have the same active ingredient as Sensodyne has, but at a cheaper price. I give this product 4/5 stars because I think Walgreens has a brand that is cheaper. Other than that, it's a great alternative to Sensodyne.

WARNING - DO NOT BUY

This toothpaste made my gums swell, bleed and become extremely sensitive and sore, to the point that brushing became very painful. You may wonder why someone would continue to use toothpaste after that, but in my defense I am switching from Tom's toothpaste (all natural) so I just assumed all toothpaste had a medicine smell and I just couldn't imagine that toothpaste could do that to you. This toothpaste smells like formaldehyde to the point that I brought it up to work and had people smell it. They all said it smelled like poison.
IF YOU OWN THIS THROW IT AWAY. IF YOU'VE GIVEN IT TO YOUR CHILDREN TAKE IT AWAY AND TAKE THEM TO THE DOCTOR. THIS IS POISON.
