Great pacifier! Wish it had a hole though., October 12, 2012

My baby enjoys these pacifiers. I like that they are all one piece and the nipple part is round (we breastfeed, so this helps avoid latch problems). The only thing I wish was different is that there is no hole in the handle part to attach a pacifier clip to; therefore we only use these at home and we use the GumDrop pacifiers when we go out in public.

GREAT!!!!, September 11, 2012

Soothies are the best! My daughter has used them since birth and she doesn't know any other pacifier. By age 2 her teeth are still perfect and i don't see any indication at this point any teeth being crooked or anything like that. The pacifier is soft and a good quality, nothing your baby would chew and swallow.
Would recommend to all new mommy's and daddy's and grandmas too!
Ive seen ugly red marks on my friends babies faces from using other pacifiers..They are hard plastic so of course they do!!!! Especially when they have been sucking on them all night!!!
Long lasting.. My daughter still has two she's had since birth and the nipple is still thick and perfect...
Great for teething

Great teether for an older baby, August 01, 2012
By New Mama

|
Our son started using the soothie pacifiers as teethers from about 5 months of age. I was worried about him choking on the newborn version due to it being so soft. I was happy to find this version. It is the same size but much thicker and firmer so there is less chance of him being able to fold it and stuff it in his mouth. He loves to hold the pacifier in his hand and chew on all parts of it.
The only negative was that I received pink instead of the blue that I had specifically ordered. Amazon was nice enough to provide me with a refund.

Best pacifier for a newborn!!, April 28, 2012
By Lydia

I have a 5 week old and have tried the other pacifiers, but found that my newborn started chewing on my nipples when I breastfed her because the shape of the pacifier and my nipples were not the same.
After reading some reviews, I bought the GumDrop Newborn Pacifiers and the Philips AVENT Soothies at the same and had high hopes for both of them, but when I got them, my newborn rejected the GumDrop pacifiers as the base of the pacifier is a harder plastic than the Soothies.
She absolutely loves the Soothies, and the round base around them mimics breastfeeding more closely than the Gumdrops. I have since purchased more Soothies and have one in almost every room in the house. As a result of these great pacifies, she has since stopped chewing on my breast and has a better latch!

Best for Breastfed Babes, February 11, 2012

This pacifier isn't an orthodontic pacifier, but that is the biggest POSITIVE in my opinion. A newborn doesn't *need* an orthodontic pacifier, a newborn needs what is going to be the most comforting, and the Soothie is the most nipple-like pacifier there is.
If you are a breastfeeding mother, and you decide to use a pacifier, please be sure to use the Soothie. The Soothie will definitely help you avoid any nipple confusion that might occur from using an orthodontic or other odd shaped pacifier.
I love the Soothie, and my son used one until we gave up pacifiers all together. I plan to use a Soothie with my daughter (expected in a couple months), and I know I will not be disappointed.

Works for our 4-week old breastfed baby, January 07, 2012

I ordered this pacifier to use while my baby is in her car seat and swing. While she usually falls asleep after a few minutes of driving she doesn't like being in her car seat and gets really upset. The only thing that soothes her is letting her suck on my pinky but this won't work once Daddy goes back to work and I have to drive when we go out. I was reluctant to give her a pacifier since she is exclusively breastfed and I have heard pacifiers can create problems with latching. So far we have had no problems with her latch and she is calmed by this pacifier in the car or swing. Once she gets a good latch on it, which takes about 30 seconds of holding it for her, she is able to keep it in her mouth until she falls asleep. I don't plan to use this long-term. I know every infant is different but we have had success with this pacifier so far. Please keep in mind I only give it to her when she has a full tummy and needs to suck on something to fall asleep in her swing or car seat.
