these are not the same as I tried in the dentist office. these are more like crest strips and not the waxy strips that I was so thrilled about. DANG IT.

My dentist gave these to me a few times and I love them. Very effective. I would take these ANY day over the custom- molded ones.

Kinda hard to get the technique down...

I'm currently trying out some samples of this product my dentist's assistant gave me. I have just started using it, so I'm not sure if it will be effective, but my main problem with it is that it's hard to put in. You have to push the rubber device in and slide the outside off, keeping the inside in. This is tricky, and I've failed to do it properly the three times I've tried it now, opting to push it on with my fingers instead because the tray doesn't separate from the inside adhesive stuff.

Works Well Despite Slight Pain

I started using these the other night and I have to say they are really nice. The trays are very easy to use, comfortable, and pleasant, however I have been experiencing some slight on-and-off pain and discomfort in my teeth each time I wear them for the last 10-20 minutes. The pain is not unbearable, but it does hurt a bit/tingle until I wake up the next day. During the day, I eat and drink normal foods ranging from freezing temperatures to really hot ones and experience no sensitivity.
I have been using these under the supervision of my dentist, and he says the discomfort I am encountering at night is nothing I should worry about- it's only if the pain doesn't go away. I'm about halfway done and have noticed a significant improvement in the color of my teeth- to me, the slight pain in my teeth at night before I go to sleep is worth the phenomenal results I am experiencing in all of my visible teeth.
I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who wants whiter teeth without the risks and high costs involved with a professional whitening. I strongly recommend spending a little extra to have your dentist supervise you by phone and go in for brief checkups every few days, just in case- but at least make sure to contact him or her if you think something is wrong.
