1.0 out of 5 stars  The Chlorhexidine Used In This Toothpaste Is Made Inactive by the Inclusion of Sodium Lauryl Sulfate
By I Buy A Lot On Amazon on January 31, 2016
It is a fact determined many, many years ago that Sodium Lauryl Sulfate inactivates Chrlorhexidine. There is SLS in this toothpaste.

There is only 0.004% Chlorhexidine in this toothpaste, versus the 0.12% used in Chlorhexidine mouth rinse. Even if Chlorhexidine was not inactivated when used in toothpaste, the tiny amount used here cannot be truly effective. But again, that point is moot because the Chlorhexidine in this toothpaste is inactive.

The above info explains why major worldwide toothpaste makers like Colgate & Crest do not offer any toothpastes that contain Chlorhexidine, or why the American Dental Association has never put out a recommendation that Chlorhexidine be used in toothpaste. There were studies to see if this would be effective going back to the 90's.

(I purchased this toothpaste from another vendor via Amazon...I left a similar review. This will prove I actually purchased this toothpaste.)

4.0 out of 5 stars  good toothpaste
By A Customer on August 11, 2013
This toothpaste was recommended to me by a friend. I decided to check it out, and Amazon had great prices. It's a good toothpaste, and I like how it is not overly sweet like the regular store brands.

3.0 out of 5 stars  Not ideal
By Flora on January 09, 2013
Honestly, I'm disappointed. I'm using it twice daily with my sonic toothbrush and wait for a while to write this review. I don't see the obvious difference. At least it doesn't work for me, as for this price, I won't buy it again.
