These are great gloves...now. In this case you need to look at recent reviews, not older, more helpful ones., January 03, 2014

Over the several years that reviews have been written against these gloves it's likely that manufacturing locations and processes have changed... possibly many times. For these gloves, the current "most helpful" review (which you have the power to change) gives these things one-star and was written over 18 months ago. It is possible that things have improved considerably since then; that is certainly my experience with a recent purchase.
These gloves are nearly identical to Curad / Medline Nitrile Exam Glove Powder Free gloves. That is, when comparing a batch of each that I received in the past week. Both are made in Malaysia, have identical fit (both in large fit on my large hands with just a hint of snugness. The have, near as I can tell, identical gripping ability. Weighing them (I was really looking hard for differences) had each glove weighing 4.3 grams +/- 0.1 gram. Both gloves have a bumpy pattern, I guess to aid in gripping things and the bumps on the Dynarex gloves are a bit smaller.
I did find two differences, and one that could be the deal breaker given the similarity in price. The first is the packaging. The Curad gloves are packed "flat" and easily pop out one-at-a-time. The Dynarex gloves are not as nicely organized and come out in clumps. The other difference is that these gloves are black and black gloves *do* look cool. (I'll leave it for you to decide which of those two differences is the one that makes the difference.
Please feel free to let Amazon and me know whether this was helpful to you or not, since it helps me improve my reviews.

I would buy these again., January 01, 2014

These gloves work just fine for me. The large is just right...I'm 6'1 200 lbs. They stretch over my hands without ripping (see my images above). I've worked on the cars changing oil, cleaned up the fireplace and a few other odd jobs and I finds the current gloves they're shipping don't rip and are thick enough. I checked out the other Dynarex gloves and they all seem to be pretty good. I have not noticed any funky odors as others have mentioned.

Manufacturer Decreased Thickness/Quality of Gloves, April 26, 2012
By Todd

If you've purchased these gloves before (namely between 2010 & early 2011) you'll notice that the quality of the gloves have decreased dramatically since then. The previous version of these gloves (sold in a black/red box with a white ribbon on it) were thick, durable, and well worth the money.
The latest version of these gloves (mostly tan box) are MUCH thinner, only last a fraction of the time that the other gloves did, are about 1 size smaller than before, and no longer stretch to fit your hand comfortably. These gloves are now too small for me (my size is/was large), they're uncomfortable to wear (older version stretched to fit your hand perfectly), and tear with the slightest snag.
I've compared the old gloves to the new ones by putting them side by side and holding them up to a light. After doing so I'd estimate that the new gloves allow 75% more light through than the older version of the gloves. That's ridiculous! This alone clearly illustrates how the manufacturer has greatly decreased the mil (thickness) of the gloves in the newest version of the product, probably just to save a couple bucks. Shame on you Dynarex!
In the form of star ratings, I'd give the old version 5 stars [*****], and the new version one star [*].

Purchased these gloved thinking they would be pretty strong but they split after about 5-10 minutes of having them on. they are very thin and split easily, I wouldnt buy them unless you plan on using them to sleep in them. They are worthless for anything else.

Not like the other, December 08, 2011

I purchased a set of these gloves a few months back and was restocking. To my dismay i received a generic cheaper version of my gloves this time. These are thinner, they dont fit the same (smaller fit i ordered a medium both times) and they are not textured. The box is not even the same, but the company says dynarex still. Its now a yellow box with a black and red stripe. The item number is still 2522 making me believe this may be the end of my favorite gloves. :( I will be returning these and wait to see if i reorder if i can get lucky..wish me luck.

Quality has gone way down, May 09, 2011

I have ordered these gloves 3 or 4 times in the past and the gloves had always been great. They were thick and tough. This last order of 2 boxes though are terrible. These gloves have now become super thin an tear easily. Very unhappy with these now. Hopefully it was just a bad batch.
