I've always liked going to the dentist even as I child. Not normal I know, but maybe it was because my first time at the dentist was the same as with Alex's. This book can really help children get over their fears of going to the dentist. It shows that there is really nothing to be afraid of. I do admit that it was a little too wordy for a children's book, but I feel like it describes the experience really well, and it encourages children to read more.

I bought this book for a unit I was teaching on Community Helpers. I felt that the writing was "eh". It was very wordy for a children's book and the illustrations were not that great. I won't be using this book the next time I teach the unit.

I wanted this for my four year old who was going to the dentist for the first time. Writing was to long. Used to big of words for his comprehension. Should have been more pictures of what was going on with less details.

The author shows how the kid overcomes his fears of the dental visit and how it went well. This book will encourage your children and help them have a successful visit to the dentist. And they will love the pictures too.

I remember my first trip to the dentist even today as an adult. It was scary! Lucy successfully takes that fear out of it for any child going for the first time. I encourage other parents to get this short book to assist their children in overcoming any fears they may have. Thank you Lucy!
