My Tooth Fell in My Soup is a charming book written by Erik Korhel. It contains 21 lovely poems and 26 full color illustrations about childhood, first love, falling teeth, picking teams, breathing fire and much more! The poems in the book are based on Erik's childhood experiences and many of the drawings were done using photo references from Erik s own photo album. All of the illustrations are done in ink and watercolor on bristol. A few of the illustrations also include crayon drawings, usually when little Erik s imagination is involved.

My daughter loves this book!, November 12, 2009

My daughter and I read this book together. She is 6 years old and she reads the book each night before she goes to sleep. I will read her a poem and then she reads me one. Currently, she is most interested in the title poem as one of her top front teeth is about to fall out. Great art work, fantastic writing. Highly recommended for adults and their children to read together.

Wonderful book!, November 07, 2009
By S. E. Geller (Seattle, WA)

This is one of the funniest most cleverly written and illustrated children's books to come along...the poems will touch everyone who reads them. The poet's words brought back long forgotten childhood memories. I think that everyone who is lucky enough to read this book will laugh and sigh as they go through the poems--stories of Erik Korhel's childhood. I know I did. I cannot wait for his next book.

Wow! What a great book! My three children have loved the poems within this book. The author does an amazing job of weaving stories through these poems that captivate and create fun discussions. I hope this author creates more stories in the future. We need more quality books for kids and this is a true treasure.

Great Introduction to Poetry, Fun Bedtime Read, October 04, 2009
By Reader (New York)

This collection has become a staple in my household. The kids love to repeat the poems and it is more interesting than Mother Goose and often the first book chosen at bedtime. I think they like the poetry more than any other collection of poetry because they can relate to the topics like picking on a little sister.

This is an excellently written and illustrated book! The creativity that was put into this book is exceptional. No matter what age you are, young, old, or somewhere in the middle you are going to be able to relate to each and every poem. I have an eight year old who literally cannot seem to put the book down and he has had for a while now! This is a book that will definitely become a classic!
