we got this as a primer to our grandkids going to the dentist for the first time so they would not be as scared and it worked great

1.0 out of 5 stars.  Not a good dental book - disappointed, October 17, 2011
By Nan (Pennsylvania, USA)
We love Curious George and I thought this would be a great introduction to the dentist to avoid anxiety. My son always wants to be like Curious George. However, George never even sits in the chair and the dentist never looks in his mouth! He is very naughty and touches the levers on the chair and spins another patient around and she screams! (or it appears she does from the picture- could be the cotton in her mouth) This was a terrible book and I was so sorry I hadn't previewed it before I read it to my little one. I will be getting rid of it. I had great expectations because we have many other stories we love with Curious George. This did nothing to alleviate any dental anxiety. On a positive note I learned to always preview books first, even those you are quite sure you will love.
