Nice flavor, not overpowering and easy to use

I am new to using powdered toothpaste and have found this to be very easy to use. The baking soda initial salty taste does take some getting used to, but the Anise flavoring adds a nice taste, not too overpowering. You just need a tiny bit as the paste does foam. After using my teeth feel very smooth, and I like not having an overpowering after taste like traditional toothpaste can leave. Highly recommend this as an alternative to traditional over the counter toothpaste.

Bought a few of these, for me and my daughter, mostly for travel. Light, and don't have to worry about them leaking. When I ran out of my everyday toothpaste, I used this for a few days, I was surprised. My teeth felt clean much longer into the day, and it was a fresh foamy taste.

Effective, low abrasion tooth powder

I decided to try this product because the foaming agents in normal toothpaste dry out my lips pretty badly. The dry lip problem is gone now that I've switched to this.
I also like the fact that Eco-Dent is much less abrasive than most toothpastes while still getting the job done. According to their website, the relative dentin abrasivity (RDA) is only 26. There are few products with an RDA below 50, and many toothpastes have a score of 100+. For reference the scale starts at 0 and the FDA recommends a maximum abrasivity of 200, while the ADA recommends a maximum of 250 to prevent tooth damage. A final note on the abrasiveness of this product, I noticed that several reviewers said to avoid using this daily because the baking soda is too abrasive. This isn't true, the RDA of baking soda is only 7. You're not going to ruin your teeth using this everyday.
On to the taste. It doesn't taste terrible and it doesn't taste great. You can taste the baking soda a bit. It's about the same as Arm & Hammer toothpaste if you've used that.
