In addition to describing dental materials used in the laboratory, this manual presents certain clinical dental materials (cement) and direct restorative materials (acrylic and composite resins and dental amalgam). The manual also includes sections on polymer science, dentures, combustion, burners and blowpipes, and finishing and polishing. It is appropriate for the dental laboratory technology student, dental assisting, dental hygiene, and the undergraduate dental student.
