A vision of acupuncture from West to East, February 05, 1997
By A customer

|
This compendium describes 40 clinical meetings between patient and practitioner, providing a vibrant glimpse of the ongoing movement of Eastern medicine beyond its original geographic confines. The collective voice of this text is made up of diverse perspectives. Every practitioner filters the East Asian tradition through different training, skill, life experiences, passion and wisdom and links each clinical and human nuance in a way that exemplifies his formal training and his unique sensibilities. But one of the aspects of coherence in the described cases is that a synthetic logic, as opposed to an analytic logic, propels each one of this medical narratives and their strong unity of vision is more impressive than any differences in details and demontrates that, despite the apparences of fragmentation in the West, Oriental medicine's original inspiration has been renewed and reaffirmed. P.S.: The book is already available and will be translated into Italian in the next months edited by Dr. LUCIO SOTTE, who wrote the Italian case in the original version.
