This is a very good book indeed! But wait: Do not expect for an explanation over meridians, points, or whatever... the text leads you right into diagnosis, treatment with herbs, needling and ear acupuncture! I've following its advices with three patients and the results are OK!

Herbal Essence, January 12, 2008

You'll love this book. It's simple, like me, and easy to read, understand and apply. Being "disease based" in the manner of Western Medicine and "bian bing" in the Chinese, this book invites one to easily assess proper prescriptions in a rather short time. The "Pattern Cross Reference" and "Formulae and Constituent Herb" sections are invaluable.
It is a Professionally oriented book, but has some value to lay persons.
