Great Pics and useful for seeing regional points and multiple channels at once. 4 stars only because some of the point locations (like GB 22-23) are found differently at my school.

wonderful book - well organised - great learning aid, June 09, 2014

Well organised. The best point location book available. this is valuable for learning visually from a more detailed perspective. Very handy general anatomical section at the front of the book. One point per page layout, with quick reference symbols on needle angle, cautions etc a brilliant addition. Indications are very general Deadman's book is great also - very detailed, as is the Photographic Atlas - this is valuable for learning from a more broader perspective, especially meridian pathways.

This is a perfect book. I could borrow it from a friend. Its clear and even the introductions and basics described are very clearly written. Only drawback is that you can not buy this anymore except from resellers and at ridiculous prices.

A beautiful clear work, you will hardly need anymore. Superb anatomy pictures one drawback: no clear indications in the western sense. For that you may need other books, like the one fromDeadman or the thiemans edition:colar atlas of acupuncture. Anyhow : highly recommended.

I am not a physician , but i needed a book like that for use with an acupuncture device noted in this book as millimeter waves electrical acupuncture. I have a sci and using this atlas i can treat various pain I have, starting with burning pain. A 5 minute treatment make them disapear. I have discover also thanks to this book muscular meridian which are not very well known in this field, it is one of the few books that mention them. In my case it has improved feelings down my legs by stimulating them. This book is really a treasure for me.

Just an atlas, nothing more, December 16, 2011

The graphics and material contained in this book were beautiful, as it seems every reviewer has said. The details on how to locate these points are also fairly well written, also as everyone says. But that is all this book contains. It is an atlas, how to find points. It is far too big to be considered for pocket reference, it gives no indications for why points would be used, it gives no additional information on any of these points.
In my opinion, an acupuncture student, who doesn't know their points yet may benefit from this, but they should also be learning the actions of these points, not just point location. An advanced acupuncturist who doesn't need the details of point actions should know their points well enough to not need an atlas.
Summary: Pros: Graphics and details on point location Cons: Size, price, lack of additional information
