This is a required text for a TCM research class. While i felt daunted by it at first, i have really appreciated how it has helped me to understand acunpuncture and Chinese medicine in the context of the Western medical research world, and has even gotten me interested/excited to engage with published research to help explain TCM to people who have questions. i encounter physicians often and it will be useful to be able to reference research as we discuss TCM. i also wish several of them would read this book! i'll be passing it on to my dad (an MD) when this class is over.
