Coronal microleakage as a source of contamination has been cited as one of the major significant cause of endodontic failure, and great emphasis is placed on the quality of the definitive restoration after endodontic therapy. The coronal restoration should provide a perfect seal to prevent ingress into the access cavity and ultimately the root restoration. Dental amalgam has been used successfully for more than 170 years as a restorative material. This book gives an insight between conventional and bonded amalgam restorations in endodontically treated teeth. The book shall be helpful in convincing the fact that bonding amalgam not only has multipurpose advantages but more importantly provides a perfect coronal hermetic seal and therefore preventing failure of root canal therapy.
