Nanotechnology is one of the most promising fields today.Despite its importance and diverse benefits, it is still significantly underutilized in Dentistry especially in Endodontics. Antibacterial properties of nanoparticles have been recently extensively researched ,however other aspects of these particles with their unique size and the improvement it can provide to endodontic materials especially sealers needs more research. This book sheds more light on a different aspect of the benefits it can provide to endodontic materials together with a detailed step by step guide on the synthesis of nanoparticles, characterization and measurement of how deep it can travel through the dentinal tubules accompanied by detailed scan and transmission Electron Microscope images. Author Information Walid Elkateb BDS, MBA, MSc is an Assistant Lecturer for the Department of Endodontics at the Faculty of Dentistry, Alexandria University, Egypt. He earned his Master's in Science with a focus on Nanotechnology in Endodontics from Alexandria University and his Master's in Business Administration from ESLSCA in Paris, France.
