A brief description of each section is given in the beginning to give an overview of the topics presented. The first and the foremost section is the first section.

Section I: Operative Dentistry describes the topics right from the identification of teeth to the more complex issues like operating dental instruments, dental caries, principles of cavity preparation and restorations, etc.

Section II: Endodontics describes concisely the internal anatomy of the tooth, etiology of pulp and periapical diseases, rationale of endodontic therapy with an outline of RCT along with the endodontic instruments, materials used and various pulpal procedures with a feather-touch on surgical endodontics.

Section III: Dental Biomaterials provides information regarding restorative materials used in operative dentistry.

Section IV: Pre-Clinical Operative Work Area describes the working area of conservative dentistry including the phantom head jaws and typhodont teeth.

Section V: Foundation to Clinical Dentistry portraits the clinical environment by describing the infection control methods, instrument processing and sterilization, and operating field along with isolation and moisture control. And the last section serves as a review of all the topics studied.

Section VI: The Review presents a set of about 500 viva voce questions to test the reader's ability of having fully grasped the subjects.
