Life changing book for people with pain, September 05, 2015

This book and the workbook that goes with it changed my life. I have had neuropathy in my feet for 4 years. Acupuncture and gabapentin work for me but I still had a lot of pain. I read this book, recorded the scripts, and do them 1-2 times daily. I do the scripts in the workbook 1-3 times daily. After 6 weeks of that, I can do Zumba without sitting between songs, I can dance for hours, and I can walk all around work. I'm great mentally as well. I do a recording or the scripts from the workbook before and after I exercise and when I feel pain. I even decreased my gabapentin slightly.

Most are good enough to at least have a point of view ..., June 26, 2015

I have bought a number of books for my collections on hypnosis and psychology. Most are good enough to at least have a point of view and share that with me - so I think that it worth the read.

Practical and scientifically rigorous guide, March 20, 2015

Would you ever imagine a treatment manual using hypnotherapy could be a page-turner? I found this manual to be scientifically rigorous (for those of us who need to know and understand the research and science), practical (for those of us who work with patients and clients), and imminently readable. Rarely do you find the combination of these in a single volume. Dr. Jensen's work in this field is impressively vast and he brings his decades of wisdom into this text. What completely amazed and gratified me was that he also includes hypnosis scripts that can be used for work with people with chronic pain. I found this textbook in my grad school library and am now going to purchase it for my personal library. Without question, an excellent resource for anyone interested in hypnotherapy for chronic pain conditions.
