product NOT as described. After opening realized it was the fluoride free, 25% xylitol version.

Beware - This does not contain 31% xylitol, as promised above. It only contains 25%, as we discovered after opening package. The photo in the description is misleading, at best.

great toothpaste. Several times my kids have complained about tooth pain. I tell them to use my toothpaste for a few days and the pain is gone. Now they can't stop using it. I have heard from my dentist that this toothpaste is good for your teeth. I believe it. I was having gum troubles and after using this toothpaste all symptoms went away.

Got this for my son who had lots of canker sores. No sores anymore. Using it with my 3 year old, too. If you use just a tiny bit, it's not too spicy.

Only one checkup since starting, but it was all thumbs up.

Just had my first dental appointment since switching to the Xylitol regimen. I got the gum and mints too for work. I have a mouth full of silver/mercury from a lifetime of bad toothbrushing habits, but this most recent dental appointment I got all thumbs up from both the hygienist and dentist for the first time in years. Healthier gums and no signs of current or near-term trouble.
My hygienist had been the one to recommend the Xylitol at the last cleaning. And it's not like I suddenly became a three brushings a day person. Frequency of brushing and flossing (maybe once a week) didn't really increase, so I can only assume the Xylitol made the difference.
Kind of pricey and inconvenient since I have to order the paste and gum and mints since my local grocery store doesn't carry it, but it's worth the lower dental bill at least this once (no follow-up appointment for new fillings) and that alone makes it worthwhile.
Of course, the next visit and cleaning may go south again, but for at least this one visit after 6 months of switching to this stuff was unusually great for me.
