Zoe Moraga is to be commended for telling her compelling story and giving hope to the many who are suffering from TMJ evasive disorder.

TMJ Miracle is a touching and true story of the survival and tenacity of a young woman injured on a European back-country ski course, which resulted in cranial trauma and whiplash with post-traumatic partial amnesia. Her 14-year search resulted in referral to prestigious treatment centers in Germany, France, Italy; ultimately to the United States for treatment in Los Angeles. She learned a lot about the then largely unknown condition, temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorder, which can cause a great deal of pain and turmoil to the body and coexists with other maladies like fibromyalgia, and myofascial pain.

She credits her TMJ orthopath specialist for prescribing a MORA splint on the bottom teeth because nine months later she reported that she began to notice a change in her body – “Head to Toe.” She also credits her Qigong teaching: “Yoga” which stresses deep breathing and “Voice training” which stresses a better way to breathe for her new sense of life.
