Read this while in dental school. Great guide to understanding the basics of dentistry (Restorative). It does have a little on Fixed work which is enough to get by but it will definitely make you very comfortable with restorative.

A great resource for the general dentist. Chapters are clearly laid out with great pictures and tables to help clarify. Specific topics are easily located. The chapters overlap, so there's repetition. This is great because it helps me remember concepts as well as connects the topics together.

This is the third edition of Fundamentals of Operative Dentistry that I have owned. The textbook contains all the basics of Operative Dentistry and has expanded to include the current techniques and materials. The chapters on adhesion and bonding have been expanded. Esthetic dentistry trends and techniques have also been broadened. The textbook has always had excellent illustrations and the photography has improved. Highly recommend this textbook for any dental student and general dentistry provider.
