1.0 out of 5 stars.  What a joke. 250. 00 dollars for this ..., November 27, 2014
By tom sawyer
What a joke. 250.00 dollars for this book. I agree with the other reviewer, I think this is rip off for a 180 page notebook. I have more years experience than this guy does. Maybe I'll write a book too.

2.0 out of 5 stars.  Just a workbook, nothing special, October 30, 2011
By M. Rothman
Way overpriced. Looks like a notebook with xeroxed copies in it. Maybe worth $20.00. My copy was used with yellow highlighting. I felt ripped off. The diagrams were nothing special. All was black and white.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Journal of Clinical Orthodontics - May 1999, January 30, 2000
By A customer
By: James Mah, DDS, PHD review for the Journal of Clinical Orthodontics - May 1999:
"Al McOrmond is a Dental Technologist in Ontario and a professor teaching orthodontics and full and partial dentures in the Dental Technology Department of George Brown College in Toronto. He is also the owner of an orthodontic speciality laboratory. McOrmond's knowledge and experience shine through in this well-written and practical technique book. At times, the reader feels as if the author were in the room presenting the material in a conversation. The chapters are amply illustrated and dotted with insightful and thought-provoking quotes. The first few chapters provide valuable definitions and terminology. The next sections discuss materials and instruments, and the book moves on to basic appliances, fabrication techniques, removable and fixed appliance design and construction, and nightguards. These chapters are filled with step-by-step procedures, practical tips, and trouble-shooting aids. The glossary contains excellent line drawings of appliances, along with a list of components with wire sizes. This section is invaluable as a teaching aid and a quick reference. McOrmond's easy-to-follow book will likely find a home in many dental schools and orthodontic offices."
