3.0 out of 5 stars.  It includes good research on the subject to support his point of ..., September 18, 2014
By Lynn Brayton
A cautionary tale about this dentist's ordeal with mercury poisoning after a mercury spill in his office. Certainly shows how little the established medical system, especially the ADA care about the issue and how far they are will to go to avoid responsibility for this epidemic problem. It includes good research on the subject to support his point of the dangers of "silver" fillings.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Mercury poisoning robs dentist of his livelihood, May 13, 2014
By Carolyn C
This documents the difficult journey of a dentist whose office was contaminated by a mercury spill. Within 2 years, his career was effectively ended; he became unable to work and had no idea why until he attended a conference where the dangers of mercury-silver amalgam were discussed. Mercury poisoning is hard to diagnose. He consulted many MDs and was accused of "doctor hopping." The ADA claims that amalgam is safe & denied that his symptoms could be mercury poisoning. His insurance company denied his claims and going to court did not help, even though he had expert witnesses.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  The Most Important Health Book I've Ever Read, March 31, 2014
By hate2shop (Bay Area, USA)
"Time Bomb from Within". It is THE most helpful book I've ever read. I've been sick 33 years and it began a few days after I got a very deep cavity filled. I'd never had a dentist drill for so long. I wouldn't have remembered that, though, if I hadn't found an old checkbook a year or two later. I saw I'd paid for that procedure a few days before my health took a sudden dive.

I'd read a few books mentioning amalgams, so I ran off to have them all replaced. But ... this was early days and nothing I read mentioned biological dentistry or safe removal.

Then, a few years later, my health took another huge dive after receiving injections of something (he didn't identify) from a dr treating people with MCS. I now suspect there was mercury in them (like the flu shot does).

My diagnoses are the usual alphabet soup: CFS, MCS, LDS, MS, and now the self-diagnosed EHS. I got to just calling it "The Crud", but now I think it's Mercury Toxicity.

Stuart Scheckner's book is the "unified theory" for me and I've read an awful lot all these decades and conferred with many doctors and researchers. There's lots of good info in it and it's a very moving story.

Diagnosis and treatment is not straightforward, unfortunately, but Dr. Scheckner has done us all a great service. I agree with the dentist-turned-attorney who told him this book should be re-named "The Story That Must Be Told!" It's everyone's story because we're all being affected.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Exellent read, March 29, 2014
By Doug
Dr. Scheckner seems to have gotten the problems of only about 22% of us, hardcore anxiety and depression, so to those of you looking for answers, its a good read. Its very sad that only the people that experience the mental problems are searching for answers, once you have learned as much as I have about mercury poisoning you can spot it in others a mile away. Although trying to help others is almost useless, I was with a woman for many years that works in the dental field and also has amalgams, couldn't explain a thing to her about the illness she had, as well as me having it, you know the old saying " its easier to fool someone than explain to them they have been fooled". We are many generations that have been fooled, and its not going to stop anytime soon. Read up as much as you can and at least get your own life back on track.
I was surprised that Dr. S didn't mention Dr. Cutler in this book, Cutler has by far the best handle on chelation. For those in the dental field this is a must read, good luck and don't give up
