The Orthodontic Cure by Dr. Sheila Birth is a book long over due! It is no surprise that Dr. Birth would write and share such creative and thought provoking ideas about the realities of how orthodontics can impact overall health and well being, with humor and in ways that speak to us all. Having listened to many of her thoughts and ideas over the years and witnessed continual positive change and growth in her practice, I find her book even more eye opening and motivating.
The Orthodontic Cure is an unique blend of Dr. Birth's education, life and work experience, innovations and her sincere desire to make a difference and improve our daily lives. She once said to me "I am a working man's orthodontist, I want all kids who need braces to have them"! What a blessing to discover that a visit to the orthodontist can bring relief to so many ailments without surgery and the use of medications for children and adults, plus a beautiful smile. Thank you Dr. Birth for sharing your passion and excitement about Ortho!!! Looking forward to experiencing relief from optic migraines!

Dr. Birth is an excellent Orthodontist. She took the time to explain on her book every procedure she was doing, and is amazing how you can treat patients with sleep apnea problems without surgery.

I just finished reading The Orthodontic Cure by Sheila Birth. I wish it could be required reading for every dental student, new parent, and anyone struggling with breathing, sleeping, ADD, and orthodontic needs. It may not have the answers to every one of these problems but many, many people would benefit greatly. There is a scripture in Psalm 139 that declares that we are "fearfully and wonderfully made." When you read The Orthodontic Cure and see how many things in the mind, mouth, neck, and nervous system work together to form a whole person and how proper treatment with the "whole" person in mind often leads to benefits well beyond just the cosmetic, then the truth of just how wonderfully we are made becomes even clearer. The old adage that a smile goes a long way was never truer and Dr. Birth has gone a long way to help people not just have a pretty smile but a healthy one. Thank-you Dr. Birth
