The Dental Hygienist’s Guide to Nutritional Care, 3rd Edition, is specifically tailored to address relevant nutritional concerns for practicing hygienists and dental hygiene students. Authored by a team of leading dietitians and dental hygienists, the text provides you with a balanced and comprehensive view of the field. Besides offering basic nutritional advice relevant for dental hygienists, it also covers current nutritional concerns, such as high-protein diets and bottled water versus tap water, and fully incorporates the most recent MyPyramid recommendations from the 2005 Dietary Guidelines for Americans. Book was in better condition than described! It looked brand new. There was some highlighting on a few pages as it said there would be but no wear and tear at all!

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Finally a text on nutrition for dental hygienists., April 22, 1998
By Margaret J. Fehrenbach, RDH, MS, Educational Consultant, jonmarg@gte.net
I just got my copy and I am reading through it. The chapters on caries and periodontal disease are very current. I will be able to add these not only to my CE courses but to my research studies in oral biology. Thank you for this timely textbook.
