I know that these are for the teeth that are very close to each other but I didn't like the shape of the string- it's thin of cause but wide.

These little things are soo useful! i put a couple in a snack size zip lock bag and keep them in my pocket book. When I have guest, I don't have to worry about them having to use the floss that comes in the traditional roll. The price is amazing as well! I get these on my Subscribe and Save.

 Design Flaws

I go for the Plackers Micro Mint style instead of this. This one has several non-trivial problems:
- The string breaks way too easily. I can go through 2 or 3 picks per flossing session.
- The string--when it doesn't break--bends and becomes flimsy during use, rendering it useless.
- The exposed pick on the end tends to stab your hand as you try to maneuver the flosser.
- Might just be me, but teeth don't feel as clean after using this.

I very much prefer these over the usual floss dispensers. It may be a bit pricier, but the convenience is worth it. The Plackers brand is certainly cheaper than the other big brands, but it's just regular floss in a plastic holder, so I can't imagine there's much of a quality difference between these, and others that cost twice as much.
