Dental implants have been used successfully for restorative treatment for more than twenty years. The completely edentulous and partially edentulous patients are being treated with implant-supported prostheses. Currently, there are many options for prosthetic designs that differ from those proposed by Branemark et al. These options are related not only to the materials used but also to the method of fixation of the restorations to the implant.
