This book arrived in plastic, brand new just as advertised. I used it to design partial denture frameworks in dental school and now that I'm practicing in the "real world," it's great to have my old pal back helping me out! It has numerous framework designs for any class of partial, with any combination of edentulous areas your patients can walk in the door with. I definitely consult it regularly

My favorite fast clinical reference for RPD's, January 25, 2016

This is my favorite fast reference for RPD's. Some theory is explained in the first chapters (above vs. below height of contour clasping, application of a particular major connector, etc), but for the most part it's composed of figures of edentulous situations with their appropriate RPD designs. Some variations are always offered. You're also encouraged to reference previous figures for more in depth explanations of particular design elements. Of course, in RPD design there's art involved; back in dental school I always had professors changing this or that from the basic suggested design. However, in all my treatment planning, an RPD design suggestion straight from this book, coupled with good diagnosis from the clinician, will come back from the lab with good retention/resistance/stability. I've been very pleased with this as a clinical reference!
