I am in my 20s and got my braces. This cookbook helped a lot with figuring out what I can eat and what to avoid. The only problem is I am gluten and diary free so adjustments will need to be made.

You HAVE TO get this book if you are a first time braces mom, August 24, 2014

My son is getting his braces on Tuesday so I bought this book online before doing my weekly grocery shopping to prepare for the week of HELL. . There is soooooooo much good stuff in this book. More than recepies. So many amazing tips I never would have thought of. The back it filled with all kinds of tips for keeping them happy, how to eat out, how to pack lunches, even a survival kit with product tips to buy for a survival kit. If you are like me and have never experienced braces before this book is a MUST BUY!!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS BOOK, I feel better about how to help my poor little guy get through the next 2 years.

Love the Options and Easy Ingredients, July 02, 2014

I discovered this book at my son's orthodontist. I immediately loved the fact that I had most of the ingredients for most of the recipes in my pantry at home. I really like that the recipes are divided into the usual "Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner" order with the added caveat of providing recipes for "Bracket-Friendly" options and "Comfort Tips." The recipes are easy enough for my teen to prepare (though I prepare most of the recipes). I wish this book had existed when I had braces thirty years ago. I consider this book a "Must Have" during the "braces years."

Helpful, tasty recipes, June 07, 2013

Simple, straightforward, yummy recipes that work for not only the kiddo with braces but for the rest of the family. They were easy and didn't require any special techniques or crazy ingredients, which I really appreciated. That said, the tips regarding use of basic ingredients and some preparation/storage are small changes that can make a big difference keeping sore mouths happy. The cocoa bites were a big hit, and I appreciated that there are good substitution ideas for foods that are forbidden with braces. It's great to have a similar alternative to offer.

This is a great source of recipes for those wearing braces or other orthodontic appliances. Our patients have complimented the recipes in the book. The new revised edition is even better than the original with expanded comfort/care/cooking tips and resources. We are happy to have this resource available for our patients.
