Has a lot of information and many good visual aides; however, there is very little information about orthodontics. The info about braces that is in the book is not relavent or reliable. For example, most Orthodontists don't use headgear anymore. The book also implies a general dentist could place braces. Although this is true it is not a recommended option.

Not a book about braces..., February 28, 2012

I bought this book for my 7 year old daughter who is getting braces next week, to help her understand it. This is NOT that kind of book. It's all about mouths and teeth and oral hygiene, and has one page of braces but is not in any way helpful for the purpose that I had bought this book... OH well, lesson learned. :)
