Don't buy this book! I am returning it in protest. On page 25, the boy with the loose tooth is depicted with his older brother who offers a large WRENCH to his younger brother to pull the loose tooth. The older brother' face is definitely mean looking and the younger boy covers his mouth with both hands. Then, the father enters the drama with a smaller plier-type appliance. The young boy with the loose tooth responds by covering his mouth again. Next page the tooth falls out on it own.
Want to cause a child with a loose tooth to worry? Then this is the book for you! This is the worst children's book I have ever encountered. It is not funny, it is a cruel approach to an issue that all children feel more than one way about. They like getting the money reward, but they are also absorbed with thoughts of loss. 'Can't figure why any children's book writer would think the story was acceptable.
One more complaint: I purchased this book because it was an "I Can Read Book," I do not trust that label anymore.
