This is an outstanding book for beginning readers. The story is fun and the children connect with the main character's excitement of the tooth fairy's arrival. A fun read!

5.0 out of 5 stars.  A treasure to have and share, May 13, 2003
By shahnaz shirazi
My kids loved this book and couldn't put it down. They read it over and over again. They loved the content and the pictures. It is one of the first books that they could read on their own and they were very proud of that. Since my kids are at the age when they lose teeth every other day(at least feels like it!), they could relate to this book. I strongly recommend this book for kids ages 4-8 and it also makes a great present.

"I am 6 years old and I like the book. It's funny. The pictures are realistic and colorful. It's a cute story. I like when the cross guard gave Bobby the thumbs up."

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Great for teaching reading skills and diversity!, February 07, 2003
By Jeff Kayce
I purchased this very colorful children's book for my seven year old cousin a few weeks ago. The repetetive sequence of narration, complemented by the bright illustrations of each page, easily retained her interest and meanwhile resulted in her proudly consistent identification of particular words and phrases. I can't think of a better book available for teaching any child the fundamental skills associated with reading. In addition, it is an extremely clever way to introduce the important concept of diversity to your child, as it consistently focuses on characters of varying cultures and gender. A GREAT BARGAIN AND AN EVEN BETTER LEARNING TOOL!

I highly recommend this book for children who are sharpening their reading skills or just love being read to. I bought a copy for my daughter when she lost her first tooth and it has become one of her favorite bedtime stories!
