Sugarbug Doug along with fun, free coloring activities from www.sugarbugdoug.com is a must-have in providing the best educational tools for establishing oral healthcare habits in kids. For years, I battled with my son Joshua to brush and floss. As a mother and substitute teacher, I thought I was providing the best methods for encouraging good oral healthcare but it was always a struggle. I recently read Sugarbug Doug to my nephews and without fail they immediately headed over to the sink to brush! My nephew Philip perceived himself as a superhero defeating the "Bad Guy, Sugarbug Doug." The illustrations are wonderful and the content simplifies's the biology behind Streptococcus Mutans Bacteria and it's devastating effects on childhood and adult dental disease. This book brings to life the hidden dangers of dental disease and provides parents and educators with a comprehensive and fun way to effectively teach children about the importance of brushing, flossing, and healthy eating habits. Sugarbug Doug needs to be a part of mainstream public health education program to help parents and educators provide foundational oral healthcare habits in children while empowering them to become superheroes, defenders of dental disease!

Great book! My niece has a copy of this book and she has me read it to her regularly. I highly recommend going to his dental office as well if you're in Clovis/Fresno and in need of as dentist. :) Very kind and very patient dentist.

I use this every year to teach my preschoolers about dental health. The kids love learning about Sugarbug Doug and how to take care of your teeth. Another great thing is that this book was written by a dentist and if you go to the website, you can print out coloring pages and activities. Highly recommended!
