5.0 out of 5 stars.  Excellent Resouce Manual, January 16, 2012
By Frances
I purchased the spiral bound version of the 2010 Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System (HCPCS) Level II manual on December 12, 2010 it was on sale for the price of $48.97 the regular price was $99.95.
It was one of the required manuals I had to buy because I was going to take a medical coding class at a community college.

I used this 2010 HCPCS Level II manual frequently for coding exercises I had to submit in class and received an excellent score due to this user friendly spiral bound, full color format on the Netter Anatomy artwork is very descriptive and easy to understand.

This handy reference guide has helped me to find the HCPCS Level II codes quickly and code the online insurance claims accurately and to determine which codes are payable to the Hospital Outpatient Prospective Payment System. It has helped me to ensure proper payment and appropriate reimbursement.

Durable Medical Equipment, prosthetics, orthotics, and supplies indicators has helped me to quickly identify
supplies to report durable medical equipment to medical third-party payers.

The Table of Drug Code annotations has helped me to quickly identify brand name drugs as well as drugs that appear on the National Drug Class directory and other FDA approved drugs.

The Appendices show the latest CMS (Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services), Physician Quality Reporting Initiative, National Allowable Rates, and National Correct Coding Initiative standards to ensure compliance with current coding regulations.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Where is code J1090?, February 24, 2011
By Mary K. Peterson
I am waltzing along taking a test and WHOA NELLY - There is no code J1090? Is that in another book? Is Carol messing with me? Why would they test me over the one code that isn't included? Now I am worried that many codes have been excluded. EEKS!
