Product Description:

Healthcare Spaces No. 3 showcases impressive modernistic work by some of the leading architects and interior designers serving the nation’s health care institutions. Over 40 design firms present their 150+ trendsetting projects with over 800 color images in this 360-page, four color book. Health care administrators, physicians, medical planners, their architects and interior designers will find this an superior way to assess how public and private institutions are coping with the opportunities and challenges of managed care, advances in medical science and technology, aging populations and the drive towards patient-focused care.

This profound change in the delivery of health care is revealed in projects ranging from neighborhood clinics, surgery centers and medical offices to replacement hospitals and vast medical campuses. Showcased are not only the advances in technology but also how the health care insitutions are morphing into more spa-like phisiques. This volume reveals the most current examples reflecting this trend. Organized alphabetically by design firm, Healthcare Spaces No. 3 is user friendly, with each project indexed for easy reference. In this book, health care professionals as well as architects and interior designers serving public and private health care institutions will find exciting new approaches to their work.
