This toothpaste has been a miracle worker for me. I was having some sensitivity issues with a few of my teeth and thought I would try this just to see if it could help....after a few days I noticed a significant reduction and now, with a few weeks of use, I can gargle with cold water with no issue! No Relief from "Rapid Relief". Disappointing formula change from a formerly trusted company.

Have used Tom's sensitive toothpaste for years, was a good product. The active ingredient, potassium nitrate, is well-known for blocking pain caused by tooth sensitivity. On receipt of this product I was surprised to see that it contained calcium carbonate instead. Many 'natural' toothpastes contain calcium carbonate (the mineral calcite) as an abrasive, but I'd not seen any claim of sensitivity relief from those. After 3 weeks of use, my normally desensitized teeth are back to being painfully sensitive. I'm curious why Tom's changed their formula that worked for the new one that doesn't.
