I purchased this product because I am an adult with braces (again) and it is much harder to clean around the brackets than I remember it being when I was in high school. Enter the Waterpik, after reading reviews I decided this was a worthwhile investment even after I get my braces off.
After using this machine I am thrilled with how healthy and clean my gums feel, it is so much easier than flossing and in my opinion the results are far better. That being said there is some trial and error to using this, here are a few tips that I feel would have been helpful for me right off the bat.
-adding a splash of mouthwash to the water makes a huge difference
-do not use super cold water, I thought that would be refreshing to use cold water vs warm but it ended up just being painful because it was so cold
-when using the product keep your mouth pointed straight at the sink, you will still have a ton of water running out of your mouth but at least it will fall directly into the sink and not down the front of you and down your arm.
-Do not take the unit out of your mouth while it is on or you will have water everywhere, I know this sounds like an obvious tip but it is surprisingly difficult to focus on not moving the stream of water out of your mouth when you go from top teeth to bottom.
Overall I am super happy with the purchase, the unit looks super sleek and modern on my counter and doesn't take up a ton of space. My boyfriend teased me for buying it and now he uses it every night because it makes his mouth feel so clean and he doesn't even have braces. I highly recommend!

My goodness, what a clean feeling after using this product. This is fully adjustable and on the highest setting, it has some power behind its pulses of liquid. You can feel it blasting through the tightest of gaps between your teeth. It also has to be the best looking water flosser on the market, mine is black. The only cons that come to mind are: 1) The hard to reach personal pick storage spot (for two picks) behind the tank, you will need to remove the tank to access your picks. 2) The tendency of water or mouthwash (your choice) to run down your arm, unless you keep your head over the center of the sink, and elbow of flossing hand held up higher. Small annoyances in light of the performance of this product. People with larger sinks will welcome this product more than those with small sinks and tight bathrooms.

Bought for my mother who's been using a Waterpark for years. She wanted a pink one to match her bathroom. She couldn't be happier!
