Amazing stuff, September 23, 2008
By not Margaret Thatcher (San Clemente, CA)

When starting to work-out/walk/run again after baby arrived I was plagued by inner thigh chafing where I still carry a few pounds. I raided my husbands closet for his BodyGlide (he uses it for marathoning and all kinds of USMC activities) and low and behold--I love this stuff! When I first put it on and touched the skin it *seemed* like it was going to be tacky and just make my problem worse BUT IT DIDN'T! After three steps I forgot it was there. I'm out for an hour at noon on the beach trail and hills pushing a stroller getting hot and sweaty and this stuff holds up. I'd pay triple what they're asking for it because it SAVES me.

RUNNERS - Don't blister or chafe - GLIDE!, February 13, 2010
By The will to win is nothing without .. (Ann Arbor, Michigan)

As a marathon runner this stuff is a must-have. Anywhere you have skin on skin or clothing on skin contact is susceptible to chafing - typically areas under your underarms, upper inner thigh, inner bicep, etc. For me I can't go more than about 6 miles in loose running shorts before the fabric causes chafing on my thighs.
I don't use this when running in compression shorts or tights, of course.
Vaseline is a cheap fix but it stains and doesn't last very long. Aquaphor lasts a little longer. This stuff has a waxy component that makes it stick around. DON'T USE TOO MUCH! You don't need as much as you might think, if you use too much you will stain your clothes (looks like an oil stain) and it's not cheap.
I also use it in the appropriate places when I do long distance cycling. Also good for your feet and hands to prevent blisters.
Plus:
Lasts all day
Handy applicator
Less less than alternatives
Minus:
Pricey
Faint smell (not a bad smell, but noticable)
Some minor staining if you use too much

Excellent, October 11, 2009
By Debbie (FL United States)

I bought this at the suggestion of a friend who is a triathlete. I had bought new hiking boots and was getting blisters between my toes when I went hiking. I applied this products between and around my toes and spent a week hiking in Yosemite and no blisters! I didn't have any discomfort whatsoever. So it worked perfectly. The only very minor downside is that it doesn't fit between the toes. But you can use your fingers to apply it.

Great for long distance runners, June 20, 2009
By C. Meriam (Dayton, OH USA)

I was very happy with this product and it was helpful for me when I run long distances (over 5 miles). I've found that it has really smoothed out running and any friction that might otherwise chafe.
My one gripe would be that it seems to crumble a little at first, so I will get crumbs coming off the edges when I use it. It's minor, but annoying when I step on those crumbs on a tile floor...

Better than petroleum jelly, April 22, 2009
By T. Turner (dog house)

What a joy to find a product that works as advertised. Body Glide helps prevent chafing. It works well and it lasts a long time. Before Body Glide, you were limited to using other ointment-like products or band aids or other tapes for problem chafing areas. Petroleum jelly works pretty well but eventually it melts and disappears. Before half marathons and full marathons, I rub Body Glide on my feet, around the elastic band part of my heart rate monitor (but not near the HR sensors), and all of the other usual suspect places. I've never had any chafing trouble ever when I've used it.

When the Going Gets Raw, Now You Can Glide, April 26, 2010
By (boring.) (Bay Area, CA)

Body Glide has turned potentially painful activities such as running and hiking into pure blister-free bliss. I can now apply a (VERY) thin coat of Body Glide to "problem areas" before I head out for an activity and I hardly have to worry about any kind of chaffing or heat rash the rest of the day. I've even used Body Glide on my flippers before going snorkeling for several hours on my last trip to Hawaii. I never got the usual heel irritation or blistering that accompanied this same activity every time before.
Whether you are heading out for a short run or a full-marathon, Body Glide is an absolute MUST! I swear by this product for all physical activity. It even helps with breaking in new shoes!

It really works, February 3, 2010
By Lodorand

It does exactly what it says. I ran 18 straight miles and never got any redness, swelling, or burning between my legs, as opposed to when I used to run without using an anti-chafing product. It made the run that much more comfortable.

Super convenient!!! I have been looking for an anti-chafing product in the speed stick style for years now. Let me tell you, if chafing is what ails you this is the product for you. I am involved in a lot of extracurricular activities that cause chafing; I never leave home without this product!

Excellent!, March 16, 2010
By S. Taggart (USA)

I use BodyGlide while doing long cycle rides and find it to work very well at preventing chafing. Without it I regularly get rubbed raw in the wrong places. It's a bit expensive but if you have ever had adult diaper rash, it's worth every penny and then some.

Now I use shorts!, March 14, 2010
By Isabel "runner" Allende (Lima, Peru)

I usually run with tights because when I tried shorts, I got injuries in my inner thighs produced by the chafe.... but I was at the ferry to the Start of the NYCM and a experienced runner recommended this product.
It was one of the best or even the best advice that somebody gave me. Now I usually use shorts!!!. In one word: it's WONDERFUL. Try it, you won't regret!

BodyGlide is indispensable for any long run. I love it. Gone are the days where I suffer chafing and painful skin irritation after a long run. It's great for any part of the body. Highly recommended.

No more blisters, December 1, 2009
By Robert Pawlicki (Sylvania, OH)

Every year when we go to Disney for a week, I end up with blisters. Well, I did until this year. Used Body Glide every morning this year, and each night, after an entire day of walking multiple miles...no blisters. Good stuff.

Never fails, August 12, 2009
By mikeyZ (Pewaukee, WI USA)

I have never had chafing while using BodyGlide no matter the distance. It's simple- if you have it on you won't have chafing. I am a guy that sweats a lot when I do some of my longer runs, to the point where at the end of my 3 hour runs my shorts have a stream of water coming off of them. Still don't have a problem with chafing.

stupendous!, August 3, 2009
By Michelle (Ohio, USA)

I'm not a runner, but I do walk more than five miles a day. I will never be one of those women whose thighs don't touch, so I can definitely have chafing problems! Body Glide solved it! It doesn't really feel sticky or greasy...it's hard to explain, but it works!

Great to prevent inner thigh rashes from bathing suits, May 15, 2009
By bvid (Phila PA)

We buy this for our son who often gets rashes on the inside of his thighs from bathing suits. It's great. He applies it before he goes to the beach or pool and no red, burning rash. It's not greasy or uncomfortable in any way. This is fabulous product.

I experienced a lot of chafing pain and discomfort during my first marathon. I used this BodyGlide for a half marathon and my second full marathon and had no chafing at all. Bodyglide will be a permanent part of my running routine.
