Perfect for at-home dental care

This is a great kit for anyone looking to keep their teeth clean between dentist visits. If you know what you're doing, then these tools are perfect. I suggest looking tutorials and guides online for how to use a dental scaler. I would have liked an all-metal set, but after doing some reviews, it seems like these are good for home-use. The metal sets on Amazon seem to be of lower quality and don't last very long; some of them might even rust. This is made for home-use, and I haven't seen any rust or corrosion. You can use this for a few months (with sufficient care) before buying a new one.

I've purchased this brand of dental tools before and they were much sturdier than these.

I really like having this kit in case I have a problem area with calcification between dental visits. Especially useful for people with permanent wire bottom retainers that attract calcium buildup from saliva.

Great for cleaning around my retainer

I have a permanent retainer on my lower front teeth that just holds on to soooo much food. The retainer also prevents me from being able to floss those teeth. The 6 month intervals between dental cleanings aren't enough if I want to have any hope of keeping that retainer clean. Although I'm definitely not skilled enough to clean my teeth as well as a dental hygienist, these instruments allow me to do far more than I ever could with a toothbrush.
Beware though, using the metal instruments too frequently could likely cause damage to your teeth.
